   Hello - upon the waiter's description - I went with the Kansas City strip bone in. The steak was terrible - loaded with thick knife proof grizzle. The steak was not meant to leave the kitchen . The scallops were great along with the sides . Very disappointed for my first visit.

   I get the sense that this place can be streaky. Our first time here was a mixed set of feelings - service was friendly and attentive (took about three hours in total), ambiance was fun. But the food was only slightly above average for us. The fried calamari was fresh but run of the mill. The wedge salad (chopped for sharing) was flavorful but pretty standard. The mains and sides had us split; The mac and cheese was underwhelming and under seasoned for us. The onion rings and shoestring fries were basic but tasty. The cuts however left a lot to be desired. We tried the delmonico, strip steak, and pork chop. For “one of the best steakhouses in NJ”, we left feeling a bit disappointed with the flavor, tenderness and cook on the meats. All in, with a couple round of drinks and dessert, we paid about $100 pp, and left feeling… okay? Would we go back? Sure, but I don’t know that I would be open to paying premium steakhouse prices again without getting a premium food experience.

   Excellent as usual. Juan Carlo is a great server. Very attentive, friendly and competent.

   The good is always amazing!!! The filet, lobster, sides are delicious. Truffle tots, lobster mac & cheese, asparagus was nice and thin, sweet potato casserole, fries, & mushrooms were scrumptious!!! Enjoy your share with table!!! Desserts…creme brûlée, hot chocolate chip cookie, gelato and ice cream were to die for!!! Don’t forget the chocolate Martini also sweet and delish!! The chef actually came to the table since I have gluten allergies so he wanted to make sure I was able to enjoy like the rest of our guests at our table of 8, Our server Grace was very attentive and observant to all of our needs and wants!!! Would recommend her for a great evening. Maddy runs an awesome restaurant!! Great food, great service, and attention to detail!!! Always a great night at Steak House 85!!

   I've been to Steakhouse 85 many times over many years and have never had a bad experience. The service is impeccable, the atmosphere is amazing, the menu is fantastic! I can't say enough great things about this place!

    Steakhouse 85 is always excellent food wise and service wise. The bartenders are excellent and they make the evening enjoyable. The kitchen is phenomenal about my gluten allergy and I have never had an issue. It’s a pleasure to dine at this fantastic restaurant! Thank you to the owner and staff who always make us feel welcome every time.
