After 5pm we recommend the pay and park lot located behind Stars off of Morris or St. Phillips Street. There is a flat rate of $10.00 payable by cash or credit card at the parking kiosk. To enter Stars walk down Morris and take a right on King. We are located 5 buildings down on the right!

There is a Pay and Park behind STARS at the corner of St Philip St & Morris St behind the Morris-Brown AME Church. The spaces are numbered and you pay at the Kiosk in the middle of the lot.

We have live entertainment starting at 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

$42 pp for a buffet is fine and the food is delicious but when you have to ask for clean plates, ask to get a mimosa that goes with it they certainly aren’t bottomless when you have to find the server just for your one had to ask for salt and pepper. Walking to the restroom, listening to the manager, shouting, vulgarity, laughing and joking with the staff in the kitchen and then looking at me and saying oops. Had to find someone to get our check. It definitely was not worth $100 for two people for brunch one mimosa and one plate of food later.

We have eaten at STARS three times and I have to say I was a little disappointed with our last experience. We started at Rooftop for a drink, the singer and music was great, but it was dirty tables were not cleaned off and drinks were OK. We then went downstairs for dinner and asked to be seated at a semi circle since there were 5 off us and thought it would be easier to talk. The waiter was obviously new to serving and did not know alot about the drinks also he talked really low so it was hard to hear him. He said they have a new chef from Brazil who is trying a few new dishes ( specials) to see how they work into the current menu. It took a long time to get our drinks and food and I would rate food was fair and much more expensive then I remember. My shrimp and grits was fantastic but as far as food value and experience I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. I don't think we will be back any time soon. We will try other places, as there are many in Charleston.

Our waitress was very sweet, but too young to be serving at this restaurant. Our drink orders were incorrect multiple times. The food was ok. It was very loud and difficult to have a conversation with our table. We ordered a bottle of wine, server brought wrong bottle twice and told us that they don’t always serve what is listed on menu. Would not recommend.

This was our first time visiting Stars and it was an awesome experience. The wine choices were great, the food presentation and taste were outstanding and our server was terrific. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Scott Powers

We left without eating. The food on the buffet was cold. The carving station had one piece of fatty beef left and only one slice of the ham left. We asked if they were going to bring any more out and were told no. It was only 1:30 so they should have been prepared for more as the buffet was open for another hour. Won’t give back.

Our server was very nice however it took us 17 minutes to get our drink order after already sitting there for 10 minute prior to that. We felt that the menu was very limited, however the food was mediocre at best. Overall not a horrible experience, solid 3/5.

We went here for a birthday celebration which was noted on the reservation. However, we were severely disappointed in how our evening was. There was no mention of the celebration from our server and felt as though our server was avoiding us our entire time. It started with ordering drinks and an appetizer - we waited 30-45 minutes to receive our bottle of wine… the bar “couldn’t find it” so we were brought a different bottle to approve before opening- $30 more expensive than ordered. We waited over an hour for the single appetizer dish and pretty much had to chase down our server to ask about the dish…but soon after our food arrived and still no server in sight. She came back to the table to check on our food, still no appetizer on our table even after we asked her to check, and said the kitchen “forgot” to make it so if we still wanted it they could make it really quick. Once we received our checks they were all mixed up, the correct side dish but wrong meal/drink etc., they were taken back to be fixed. About 10-15 minutes later when we received them a second time, one of the receipts was still wrong so we just paid - a few dollar difference than what it was supposed to be. Two paid card and one of us paid cash. For the cash, we didn’t specifically say “keep the change” so we expected some back as that was not the tip amount we wanted to leave. As for the receipt that was still wrong, we put the card in expecting to pay the amount that was shown as we were not going to ask her to fix it a third time, she must’ve caught her mistake at the register since she charged the card the actual amount of what it should’ve been, but some communication on her end would have been beneficial for us and her. We do not live locally and was only in town for a few days so we were trying to hit up the popular spots with good reviews. Unfortunately we cannot give this a glowing review and honestly wouldn’t plan to come back.

One of the best kept secrets in Charleston. This is a fabulous restaurant. I'm delighted each and every time we visit Charleston. They never disappoint at Stars!

The restaurant showed several Chardonnays by the glass, however, when ordered none were available and no substitute was offered, even after staff huddled to discuss. I ordered a very expensive ribeye that was served cold. I had to have it returned to the kitchen to be heated. The fingerling potatoes were undercooked and hard to chew through. The table was sticky and there were small flies all over. This restaurant was rated 5 stars on OpenTable. The experience could not have been more disappointing.
