Stable Café is open from 11am to 3pm daily for guests of Biltmore Estate. Limited reservations are accepted before noon and after 2pm, based on availability. All others will be served on a first come-first served basis.

Biltmore tickets or an annual pass are required to visit all restaurants on the estate. For seasonal evening events, dinner reservations for all the guests in the party must have an evening-specific ticket or be an estate lodging guest. Dinner menu is a three-course, prefix menu.

The convenient location next to Biltmore House, friendly hospitality, and delectable food make the Stable Café a popular stop after visits to the house and gardens. The ambiance of the historic surroundings in the renovated stable complex is unmatched. Enjoy lunch specials like the Stable Café BBQ with 16-hour smoked Appalachian style pulled pork and local roasted chicken! Sandwiches, char-grilled burgers, fresh salads and irresistible with desserts round out the daily lunch menu.

As always, the food was delicious and the service was impeccable. We love the variety on the menu, especially since there are several heart-healthy choices.

Food was just ok. Kale was too large: not massaged or cut small. Watermelon/ tomato soup was not good. Checken leg was tasty. Made reservation for 2, but they moved us up when we got there at 12:45. Server was nice!

We always make a reservation for lunch at Stable Cafe when visiting Biltmore Estate, it's our favorite! I love the atmosphere and attention to detail and the food is always very good. Our server was wonderful, just the right amount of attentive and very friendly and helpful. Prices are fairly high here, but the food quality is excellent and there are several items in the mid-price range that make it affordable. I highly recommend!

I’ve been coming to Biltmore since I was 2 (hint: 1970). Biltmore has played a very large role on my life (I even got engaged there - albeit I’m now divorced😬😂) All these years I’ve never gone to this restaurant because I’ve always gone to the Bistro for lunch, but it’s no longer open for lunch so when we planned to see the Chihuly exhibit (it was awesome), I hesitantly made reservations at the Stable Cafe - we were not disappointed The shrimp and grits were the best I’ve had. Service was impeccable. We had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend.

Just okay. We chose this place only for the convenience factor of the location, being right on the Biltmore property. We could easily have a meal after our house tour. Made a last minute reservation without any issue. The staff welcomed us in a friendly manner, we were seated promptly. Our server was very good, efficient and quick. The food is where things really did not shine. The hush puppies were burned, and we spent most of the time picking off the chard pieces which, in the end, left very little hush puppy to eat. The meatloaf sandwich was surprisingly bland, the salad lacked any imagination or flavor, and the burgers seem to be about three times too expensive for what you got. $80 for two people for lunch seems high if you look at the value to quality equation. Could've got the same meal at a place like Shoney's, for a third of the price.

We eat at The Stable every time we go to Biltmore. The location in the old horse barn is really light and beautiful, the food is excellent with good variety, and the booths are cosy and feel special. The service is always casual and friendly. It’s always a good experience. Every visit, we request to sit in a booth, which is actually one of the old horse stalls. It reduces the noise and gives a bit of privacy, plus they are just more intimate. This visit, as usual, I requested a booth on Open Table and via a direct message to the restaurant. I received the one word response of “Okay.” When we got to the restaurant (a 2:15pm, non-peak time slot), we were told no booths were available, despite the host mentioning our request to us when we got to the stand. He said he “really couldn’t say” how long the wait might be, so we sat in a table in the very middle of the restaurant instead. The food was still good (the charcuterie board had some outstanding cheese and very fresh and beautiful fruit, the cinnamon butter and warm bread were delicious, and the risotto was excellent). The service was slow but friendly. We were just irritated, because, although minor, our entire experience was affected - we felt like we were sitting in a cafeteria. No one wants to be a Karen these days, but this little event struck us as unprofessional and a symptom that The Stable is perhaps becoming too touristy for us.

It was the first time I ordered the meatloaf it was recommended to me. Just, let’s say I will not order it again

I always love the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant but this time the croissant was not fresh and made the sandwich dry.
