Stable Café is open from 11am to 3pm daily for guests of Biltmore Estate. Limited reservations are accepted before noon and after 2pm, based on availability. All others will be served on a first come-first served basis.

Biltmore tickets or an annual pass are required to visit all restaurants on the estate. For seasonal evening events, dinner reservations for all the guests in the party must have an evening-specific ticket or be an estate lodging guest. Dinner menu is a three-course, prefix menu.

The convenient location next to Biltmore House, friendly hospitality, and delectable food make the Stable Café a popular stop after visits to the house and gardens. The ambiance of the historic surroundings in the renovated stable complex is unmatched. Enjoy lunch specials like the Stable Café BBQ with 16-hour smoked Appalachian style pulled pork and local roasted chicken! Sandwiches, char-grilled burgers, fresh salads and irresistible with desserts round out the daily lunch menu.

The atmosphere was beautiful. Perfect to eat dinner there before you tour the house. The service was great. The main course was delicious. The rolls seemed to be cheap store bought rolls. Seems like there should have been quality bread. The desserts were just ok. Saying all of this, I would still eat there. Overall, a good experience.

The prices at the restaurant are outrageous! $65 - $80 per plate for the main course. Then add the rest, appetizer, drinks tip etc. We would love to go back, we had been at this restaurant several times in past years. (It was not cheap, but there was not outrageous pricing then) There is no way I’m paying those prices. So I guess it will be fair well to our Biltmore dining experience in the future.

We always love to come to the Biltmore Estates. You will find us here many times during the year. We were so happy to hear they had reopened again that we make a dinner reservation so that we could show our support. We drove an hour and a half to get there. We love all the restaurants and chose the Stables for this evening. The service and food was great as always! Thank you for inviting us into your home. PS also did some Christmas shopping since we were up here! Biltmore is so beautiful decorated gor Christmas!

We had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday. The food and service were excellent.

We were shocked by the lack of choices and the high prices....not like the Stable Cafe we were used to........

We toured Biltmore and finished the evening with a reservation for the Stable Cafe. We were promptly seated and shown the price fixed menu for the evening. We were able to order an appetizer, main and a dessert. Also to note that additional appetizers were available to add on for purchase. We split the Duck Fat Cornbread and it was delicious! We had the Cauliflower Caesar and Butternut Squash soup followed by Beef Spare Rib and Duck Leg for entrees. Warm rolls accompanied both 1st and 2nd course if desired. To finish the evening we chose the Peanut Butter Bourbon cake! It was wonderful!!

The restaurant was beautiful, and we sat in a quiet area. It was a great experience. My only complaint is the cost of the food was pretty pricey. You did get good portions but still pretty high.

What a disappointment! We arrived promptly for our 3 p.m. reserved seating time slot. The restaurant was almost empty. There was a four-top and a two-top occupied. My friends and I were seated at a booth (stall) beside the kitchen where it was freezing. The a/c vent was under the table and blew directly onto our legs and laps. I requested a move and was told we could move to the table beside the booth which was even closer to the kitchen. (In fact, it was the table CLOSEST to the kitchen.) No one assisted us with moving our flatware, menus, etc. Once settled, we enjoyed a continual parade of wait staff passing by our table, and were loudly serenaded by talking and the sounds of dishes, and pots and pans. We ordered quickly and ate quickly. We did appreciate that our server was pleasant and friendly, and our food, as per usual, tasty and bountiful. We did not, however, appreciate the sweeping and cleaning going on all around us. The sweeping, in particular, seemed unsanitary while we were eating. I do not understand why we were given a reservation time at closing time. I know the cafe is casual dining, but it seems to me that the Biltmore standards and professionalism should be upheld until the last guest leaves the restaurant. At the very least, we could have been seated away from the chaos. I was embarrassed about the dining experience but my friends were good natured and gracious. I’ve often enjoyed the Stable Cafe but doubt I’ll return.

Not only was the service and food fantastic but we were so very impressed with the outcome of what could have been a very bad experience. One of the ladies from our party left her purse and we had been away from the restaurant for well over an hour and a half and as we were leaving the grounds she realized she had left her purse. The shuttle driver promptly got us back as quickly as possible and although the restaurant was closed, we were able to flag down an employee still working inside. They kindly opened the door and let us search and it turned out an employee had already submitted the purse to front desk. We were abundantly grateful to get the purse back and all its contents as well. In today's world this happens less and less. The Biltmore has wonderful employees, and we were very pleased for this.
