Called and confirmed that they have kosher/halal steak. Double checked at the restaurant to find out they did not have kosher/halal steak. This was fine. They did have good seafood as an alternative. But the fish was wrapped in BACON! I specifically asked the server to explain the ingredients while sharing my diet restrictions’, Bacon was not on the ingredient list given to me. The worst part is, my excited wife ate the dish already and I had to hold myself on the complain to not make her feel bad.

Splash never disappoints. Great seafood at decent / pricey prices but with no cork fee for wine, you cannot beat it for seafood in the Des Moines area. The sea bass is some of the best I have had, highly recommend it!

I would give it 10 stars if I could! Delicious doesn't cover just how incredible our dinner was. From service to quality, can not wait to return ❤️

Server was great- enjoyable dialogue and very knowledgeable about menu. She checked in often to ensure our satisfaction! The Lobster Mac and cheese was excellent. The beet salad was very good and unique.Wife had scallops which were very nicely prepared but, sides were unremarkable at best. Mussels were very small, many were still sandy and gritty and lastly very little broth! Broth was very tasty but hardly any in the bowl. Great environment and overall a very good experience. Would definitely do again!

Outstanding. Excellent food and service. Waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating and the timing was perfect, not rushed but not slow. Food was delicious and fresh, well prepared. I had raw oysters from PEI and New Brunswick, Norwegian salmon prepared meunier style in a white wine, seasoned butter sauce with broccolini and lobster Mac and cheese. The lobster Mac and cheese was to die for and a very large serving, enough for the two of us. My son had lobster bisque with garlic mashed and broccolini and some of my lobster Mac and cheese, and peach ice cream for desert. Service was perfect as was the chef. Splash is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere and I think the best restaurant in Des Moines. I loved our table in the corner by the fish tank.

From the outside the restaurant appears smaller than it actually is. Once inside it's spacious and the decor is lovely. Our waitress is the kind of waitress I like gives you space to enjoy your meal but is knowledgeable and courteous. The food was delicious. My husband and I decided that we would return for another meal.
