                                                                  The food was AMAZING. The ambience was perfect. The service was swift and overall it was a great experience. I celebrated my birthday with my husband at South City Kitchen Midtown and we will definitely be back.

                                                                  This was my first time at South City Kitchen . My coworkers and friends were in town for a conference so I decided to choose South city kitchen to experience it for myself and also for them. We started with a fried green tomatoes. The breading on the outside was light and flavorful, and the goat cheese was a nice pairing with this dish . We shared the springer Mountain fried chicken, which was perfect! The chicken was moist, the batter was crisp and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the collards were perfection.

                                                                  Slightly disappointed in this visit. I had the pork chop which was very tasty but the peas felt like an afterthought & were tasteless. Also the restaurant was quite warm inside.

                                                                  One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Shrimp and grits were incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. The biscuit and cornbread were delicious and the peach tea julep was perfect. Beautiful place, service was great. Highly recommend!

                                                                  My server was EXCELLENT. She was very accommodating and kept our glasses full. I never had to look for her or constantly ask her for anything. I have a severe onion allergy. The chef and my server made sure the offered every single option to me that offered no onions. Lol. I felt heard and respected. Often times, I tell a restaurant/server that I have a severe onion allergy and they assume I mean “I don’t like onions,” and end up needing my epi pen, a lot of Benadryl, and a few days off of work. The food was DELICIOUS. My niece had the fried chicken, greens, and mashed potatoes. She LOVED IT. I had a variation of things, but my protein was the salmon, with pickled blueberries, served under the Carolina Gold Rice. *chefs kiss* DELICIOUS. We also had the fried green tomatoes, I could not eat the sauce it came with, but my niece said it was sweet. We both enjoyed the fried tomatoes. Highly recommend!!!!!

                                                                  Manny was a fantastic server and guide. Food was incredible. Fried chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had. Chicken livers were a hit for non liver fans. We had a blast!

                                                                  Great service (Reggie) and food. Water glass came with lipstick from previous user and fruit flies buzzed by occasionally. Have frequented here several times and will be back. Hope cleanliness issues are addressed.
