Situé sur la rue principale, au cœur du centre-ville, Sopra Bistro allie l'atmosphère décontractée du lac Geneva avec celle de Lincoln Park à Chicago. Nice place, good service, food just okay. Not a special place but a nice place. Our server was very good. Okay value for money but just nothing special about this Bistro.

Best restaurant in Lake Geneva. The swordfish is one of my favorite dishes.

Excellent food and service. Originally had our reserved table on the second floor but was very accommodating when we explained we needed a first floor table.

Our first visit to Lake Geneva and Sopra Bistro and we would highly recommend this restaurant! Our cocktails, appetizers and entrees were all prepared perfectly and our server very accommodating. We hope to return with family and friends in the near future.

This was at one time our favorite restaurant in town. The menu is unique, and the restaurant has a great vibe, but yesterday's dining experience was not great. Our server was outstanding, she was attentive, kind, sweet, and offered great service all through dinner. We arrived 10 minutes early for our 6 pm reservation. There were 4 seated tables in the first-floor dining room and 8 people at the bar. The maître d' was uninviting and escorted us to the back of the restaurant, up a narrow 20-step stairway to an empty dining room with no ambiance. Fortunately, my husband at 77 years is in great shape, but we were not even asked if we could handle the stairs. I should have spoken up but was a bit stunned by his seating selection especially considering we were on time, the dining room was nearly empty and we were a table of 2. I mentioned the lack of ambience and he said there would be plenty of people up here soon. As noted, our server was excellent, but our meals were not great. The grilled octopus was raw and fatty (returned it after one bite) and our bolognese pasta tasted like spicey buffet-style lasagna, loaded with garlic (garlic was not mentioned as an ingredient, while it is mentioned in all their other meal descriptions). Our stay was less than 1.5 hours and no one else was seated upstairs. The food tasted like the chef-owner was not present to check the food. I highly suggest you request being seated on the first floor! I'll give the restaurant another try in a few months. Here's hoping it was just an off night.

The food was excellent especially the grilled swordfish. The octopus appetizer also good and the scallops good as well. I would give a 5 star rating except for the bar service. My husband ordered a Tanqueray and Tonic but the waitress came back a few minutes later to say that they don’t carry that brand. Not sure what the issue was but the drinks didn’t come out until we finished the appetizer. Also there was no lime with the gin & tonic which is standard. Otherwise the service was very good and nice to see this restaurant stand out amongst what you can find in downtown Lake Geneva.

This is our second time back. It's small with a great bar. Food is interesting and delicious. Definitely recommend.
