We went for CHRISTMAS dinner and it was great. First time there and menu has something for everyone. So much flavor to the food.

Not sure if it’s because it was a couple days before Christmas and they’re short handed or they’re new and that’s how they are. Since they opened we’ve had lunch or dinner at Solitas whenever we are in Valencia. Service is usually spot on and I never have to ask for anything. I had to stop people other than our server for more water, chips, napkins, even to just order. Our server passed us a couple times before I had to hail her down and asked if we could order. She was chit chatting with the customers at the other tables but felt like we were bothering her. I’m not obnoxious or loud and am very polite but the whole experience made me come very close to being obnoxious and/or loud. Instead, my daughter and I just enjoyed our meal when we got it and gave the minimum tip which not a single one of them deserved. Going back to solitas will be very debatable after this experience.

The waiter was great but the host was not. Host wasn’t there when we arrived, actually there were people waiting when we got there. We all sat waited 10-15 mins before she came and still left the two groups waiting longer. Mind you there weren’t many people in the restaurant so plenty of open tables. When she did come back she sat the first table and had us wait another 10-15 mins before coming back saying oh she hasn’t cleaned a table. It just was a mess could’ve been organized better.

This used to be one of my favorite places BUT the last 3 times I’ve been the service has gone way down. Servers are not attentive or helpful. We had a few first time diners that could have used some input on the menu when ordering. They charge almost $12 for a single taco with no sides. Drinks are weak and they will charge extra for a jalapeño in your margarita. Overall the restaurant is beautiful and has the potential to be one of the best in the valley but with their service continuing to drop, high prices and mediocre food I don’t feel like it’s worth another visit.

I do enjoy Solita and their food however they could stand to up their staffing/customer service as the last two times I have been there no one ever came back to check on us after dropping off the food and we literally had to try to flag someone down.

We sat outside, beautiful day. We split the appetizer tacos- they are small, but with the chips and delicious salsas ,it was enough food. I had a margarita, it was perfect. After the food order and one checkup to see if everything was okay, we didn't see the waitress again. The manager was helping to deliver food to the other 3 tables, and we asked him for our check.

It was a perfect Sunday to have dinner, the restaurant was not overly crowded and the decor is beautiful. The drinks were great and the food was amazing. It was my first time dining here and I will definitely do it again.
