Il est impossible de parler de Printer's Alley sans mentionner le Rainbow Room, détenu et géré par l'une des véritables stars de Printer's Alley, David « Skull » Schulman. Juste avant l'ouverture, Skull avait été agressé par deux personnes et brutalement assassiné. Ses meurtriers avaient été capturés, mais la discothèque n'a jamais rouvert. Après une fermeture de presque deux décennies, le Rainbow Room a rouvert ses portes à son emplacement d'origine, dans l'historique Printer's Alley, sous le nom de Skull's Rainbow Room, en hommage au regretté David « Skull » Schulman. Dans le légendaire Skull's Rainbow Room, le menu d'origine est affiché au mur et le barman prépare d'une main experte une foule de cocktails post-Prohibition. Vous profiterez d'une cuisine américaine contemporaine et d'un service impeccable dans une atmosphère relaxante. Deux fois par nuit, vous assisterez à un spectacle burlesque chic et sobre. Des concerts sont organisés 7j/7.

Wonderful experience. Meal was delicious. Vibe was perfect for a Friday night. Service from Priscilla was excellent!

Upon arriving at our 5:00 pm reservation, my wife & I were seated & our waiter Brandon introduced himself. We chose water to drink and looked over the menu. It was absolutely freezing in the restaurant & my wife put her heavy coat back on (the temp was 67 degrees outside but we were prepared for cold). We gave our order which consisted of appetizers & to entrees. 35 mins later Brandon returned with our appetizers & topped my water off but never asked my wife is she wanted more water. The lobster bisque was lukewarm at best & the butcher’s board consisted of very poorly chosen meats & even worse cheese selections. The prime rib enchiladas were extremely chewy as well. We had hoped that maybe since we were the first round of orders to be entered upon opening the doors that the kitchen staff were just rushed. Another 25 mins passed & my wife’s medium rare ny strip & my rack of lamb was delivered to us. I always let my wife take a bite first as she is a better judge of how properly prepared food should taste. Her reaction was spot on when it came to how the whole meal was going to taste. Her steak was tough & well done. There was minimal flavor to the cut of beef. I took a bite of my rack of lamb & was extremely disappointed. I asked for med rare & it was so rare it was slimy. I tried the shrimp only to find they were very much over cooked. My wife was so frustrated by Brandon not offering to refill her water & reaching across in front of her to grab my glass & hand me my plates that she was just done. We asked for boxes & the check. Not once did Brandon ask if there was something wrong with our food since he had literally just set the plates down two mins prior to us asking for the check. Not once did he ask, ma’am are you cold. I see you have your winter coat on. We knew before entering the prices of the food & had an expectation of service & quality of food. We were extremely disappointed in the service and food. The live piano & singing was very enjoyable.

I wanted to give this 5 stars, but we had one bad meal out of four. Three of us were delighted with our meal, but the prime rib ordered by one member of our party was essentially inedible. It was too tough to cut with the steak knife, and most of it was too tough to even chew. We would have sent it back, but the server never checked with us until she came to retrieve our plates. The manager did take it off of our bill and offered a free dessert. The pork chop and the chef’s special red snapper were delicious. The jazz singer and band were very good. I would give them another chance if back in Nashville. I appreciated the birthday dessert!

The overall experience was nice. Food was fantastic. Service was great. The part that ruined it for me was paying $37 in taxes??? Never had I experienced taxes that high on a $200 tab

Amazing first time visiting Skull’s Rainbow Room and we will most definitely be back! Great food, great service, fabulous entertainment and just overall an amazing venue with a phenomenal vibe.

I’ve been to Nashville 5x in the past 18 months. Personally make it mandatory to stop at skulls for dinner! Impeccable quality of hand crafted cocktails, phenomenal food and the most amazing service staff ever! Can’t forget to mention the music! Every musician I’ve seen there blows my mind away! 10/10 Thank you for everything! See y’all soon.
