Never a bad meal, only exceptional! We took two non-Serbian family members with us who went crazy for the food. We ordered the mixed grill for 2 (which likely could be for 4 with how much is served), Lamb chops which were beautifully presented as well as delectable, grilled bacon-wrapped chicken, a couple of Sopska salatas, Teleca (veal) soup (which is a must try for any non-balkan people who have never had a warming and flavorful soup) as well as extras of urnebes, kajmak and to end palacinke (crepes). The food is always a draw but the service, ambiance and overall experience is well worth a trip to Brookfield to enjoy true hospitality, great value and very generous portions! Bravo Skadarliya!

The food was excellent as well as the choices for slivovitz. We tried the mix grill plate and the boemski mix plate with more than enough food for 4+ people. Everything was delicious!

Our experience would not have been the same without Tamara. She made us feel welcome and put at ease to ask questions and get the most out of the experience. Her willingness to share her personal experience as a Macedonian led to a contagious enthusiasm about the Balkan food. We weren’t sure what to expect, but we were impressed with how moist the grilled meats were. Everything was very flavorful without being overly seasoned. We were glad we stayed late enough to see some of the live music from the Friday night scene.

Great and authentic Balkan food. Ivana did a great job as our server. If you miss home (Balkan) and mom's food here is the place to go.

It was troubling that the enclosed outside smoking area (did not know that was legal) led to smoke coming into the main restaurant area. Food was so-so.

Delicious, and the waitress was outstanding. Recognized that the entire party didn’t speak Serbian and switched effortlessly between the languages. However, the kitchen is quite slow, and in general the food and drinks are somewhat overpriced.

The shopsko salad was delicious! Ordered the mixed grill plate for our party and extra kabobs- the food was good not great. The Kajmak was ok- my mother in law makes it creamier. This is a nice spot for music and my expat in-laws liked it for the ambiance. As the food goes- if you have been to the Balkans, this is just average.
