Le restaurant Sens a été nommé ainsi pour faire référence aux facultés de la vue, de l'ouïe, de l'odorat et du goût, aux sensations que les humains perçoivent dans leur corps dans les moindres détails. Au Sens, la préparation est prise très au sérieux, mais le résultat l'est encore plus, pour le pur bonheur des convives! L'établissement s'inspire principalement de la Méditerranée, avec ses cultures et cuisines fascinantes, reconnues pour leur diversité. L'objectif du Sens n'est pas de redéfinir ou de réinventer ce type de cuisine, mais plutôt de la raffiner, de la rafraîchir pour arriver à créer des plats magnifiques. Ils utilisent uniquement les meilleurs ingrédients locaux et des épices exotiques pour relever leurs techniques classiques et modernes. Went on Fried Chicken Fridays and the fried chicken was excellent. The hot sauce was spicy but also flavorful, the rosemary honey was a great compliment to their great tasting (but slightly on the hard side) biscuits, and their shoestring fries were wonderfully seasoned and crispy. Beautiful ambiance with views of the Bay Bridge from the table and a sleek bar design.

Lunch meeting - We sat out on the patio, which was beautiful but there was construction going on for the majority of our lunch (sawing and drilling), which made it difficult to hear. We had a relatively small order: mezze platter, salad and halibut crudo. The halibut didn't smell or taste very fresh. Personally, I wouldn't have felt comfortable serving it. Our server was very kind and removed it from our bill but flagging this because we could have gotten sick. I was very excited about joining you all for lunch - I can't say Sen's will be on my dining list moving forward, unfortunately.
