Always a nice experience here. Food is good. Halibut dish was delicious as was the coconut cream pie. Great setting and view. It’s always a great night out. A few little tweaks would have made it better. The fois gras is really more like a paté. So it was fine but not fois gras quality. And a small annoying detail. When we asked for a tiny smidge of butter to finish a small piece of bread. We were told the butter only comes in a preset dish that is too big. Very strange response. So I said forget it then. Only to be brought it anyway. Way more than we needed. And then they took it away without asking if we wanted it for later. Just not a smooth response for a fine dining place. It was awkward and unnecessary. Things like that leave a lasting impression.

Scaramouche is a hidden gem, just outside downtown Toronto (with amazing views of the skyline), with a wonderful menu and wine list, incredible food, and fantastic service! It started with Shelly, our server, who did an amazing job taking care of us, even noting that she, too, is a foodie who has traveled the world. She was also great in taking care to remember my gluten allergy. Our first course was potato and leek soup (not GF), as well as the French ham (GF), both of which we recommend, especially the ham, which rivals both Iberico and Proscuitto. Our second course was the chicken (not GF) and filet mignon (GF)- both cooked perfectly. Finally for dessert, my husband had the milk and honey cheesecake (not GF), which he raved about. We also had glasses of the Pinot Noir, Cab Sauvignon, and Bordeaux - all of which we recommend. Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time and we hope that anyone heading to Toronto highly considers making a reservation here.

Dinner at Scaramouche is always special! From the attentive service to the exquisite presentation and delicious food! We had the tuna tartare, sourdough bread and hummus to start which were wonderful. Our mains were both excellent; the duck breast and grilled chicken followed by a slice of their famous coconut cream pie to end an excellent anniversary dinner celebration.

As usual the service, this time from Dean and always Ian for the superior wines…..was at its finest. The meal flowed beautifully and each course was stunning from fois gras to rack of lamb, gnocchi, lamb pasta and of course the coconut cream pie. A world class,elegant and totally consistent dining experience for my birthday celebration with dear friends. Bravi!

I have always loved scaramouche and this evening was wonderful as always. The personal touches are always appreciated (Colin, the Sommelier, and our waiter definitely went above and beyond). The ambiance is lovely, and the food - unparalleled. Usually I have the signature dish, peppercorn fettuccini but this time I had the venison, which was the special. I don't usually eat red meat, but could not resist. Desert was the famous boston cream pie, and as requested, they brought a side plate with Happy Birthday and a candle for my husband.

Always a treat to have dinner here when boss is paying! However find it over priced for the portion size!

This was one of the best dining experiences I have had in years! It was a special occasion and everything was BEYOND perfect! The Foie Gras Terrine, Hamachi, Halibut and Peppercorn Beef pasta were incredible plus amazing Martinis and ALWAYS the best dessert, the Coconut Cream Pie! Andrew, who served us, was amazing -- friendly, engaging, helpful and made the night memorable. In fact, I remember Andrew serving me years ago here at Scaramouche and he made a positively huge impact, again! I look forward to being a regular and referring everyone I know!
