Sawa Restaurant & Lounge opened with a contemporary Mediterranean & Japanese dual-concept cuisine in early 2010 in the beautiful upscale Shops at Merrick Park.

Sawa's dual-concept tapas-centric menu was created to encourage a shareable dining experience. The menu tells a story of when the East meets the Far East and the unique offerings of contemporary Mediterranean & Japanese dishes merge an innovative sushi menu with a memorable ensemble of tapas and entrees. Guests can explore traditional Lebanese dishes, such as hummus, kibbeh, and falafel and expand into nouveau Mediterranean and Japanese flavors, as Sawa fuses together creative cuisine elements into one great menu.

While Sawa is known for its inclusive & creative menu and beautiful outdoor ambiance, entertainment is also an integral part of Sawa's story, focusing on an upscale eater-tainment concept as dinner guests are enchanted by live professional bellydance shows every weekend.

For outdoor seating this evening, we require a minimum consumption of $50 per seat reserved, regardless of age. This is not charged up front, the price you see in the reservation is indicating your minimum consumption, and credit card is for no-show policy, not up-front charge. Sawa is the only restaurant offering seating with a front row view of the annual tree lighting ceremony. To join us with no minimum consumption you may reserve indoors or dine at the bar. We cannot guarantee any specific table or requests such as "closest to the tree" as all reservations will be assigned with date of reservation, party size, and following reservation times in mind. By reserving outdoors, you agree to the minimum consumption rate.

We had a wonderful outdoor dining experience here with an attentive server and excellent food. The only negative on the food was that the Greek salad was advertised as having olives and it had none because the restaurant was out of olives. We could’ve been told that at the time we placed our order. The portion size was Substantial. With the temperature in the upper 70s, it was a perfect evening to dine outdoors.

Had a wonderful night at SAWA. We had the Kebab Platter and it was more than enough for two. The ambiance was relaxing. The entertainment with the belly dancer was unexpected but great! I was one of the chosen ones to have a sword on their head! We had a great time! Definitely recommend!

Sawa never disappoints. The food was excellent, very tasty, and the menu is superb in its variety. The service was very good.

Always a great time a sawa. We were outside and surprisingly with the fans it wasn't too hot. The menu is extensive with lot's of great options for any diet. We are disappointed they discontinued the lobster nori tacos, but there are lots of other options. It's a great value. Enjoy the belly dancing!

We have eaten here before and had a great experience. Last night was just ok. The food was good - we had a variety of Tapas. Our favorite was the potato dish and the Brussels Sprouts. The service was sporadic. Belly dancer was a fun surprise.

Great food and service. The sushi sandwich is delicious, the hummus, chicken kabob, and dumplings were all great.

Lauren & Laura were gracious, professional and very efficient! I wish we had service like that at every restaurant. The lamb lollipops were so tasty and juicy we had to order place a second order. The tuna and sushi were fresh and the calamari was excellent! Although it was a sweltering 90 degrees the servers made sure we were comfortable by placing fans around us. Great experience!
