I ordered pasta chicken scallopini. The dish was a plate of pasta with red sauce and strips of dry chicken. The pasta was good hence the 2 stars. Charged $13.00 for a soda water. So disappointing that a New York icon has fallen so far.

It was meh. The service was very good but the food was uninteresting and not flavorful. It’s convenient, being so close to theater row. And iconic NYC, I suppose. But not at all worth the money and not a place to go twice.

Old-school service in an iconic New York setting with quite good food and drink. Highly recommend if you are at all a Theatre buff. John our waiter was attentive, pleasant, and helped pace the meal perfectly for a 7pm curtain.

39 years in NYC, first time at Sardi's. We had an early curtain (7PM, Maybe Happy Ending) and took a res afterward at Sardi's so we could catch the Sunset Boulevard walk (9:43, if you're keeping track) which occurs right outside. The food was way better than anticipated. Excellent pasta, great appetizer tray, french onion soup top notch . Service was awesome; it was 9:30 on a Wednesday, they knew we weren't in for the long haul but they didn't rush us either. They were totally supportive of us actually abandoning our table to go outside and watch The Sunset Boulevard parade, and then just mosey back in and finish our meal. The place is a little dilapidated (it looks all of its 100 years) but you barely notice because of the caricatures. A great time was had by all (ages 64, 62, 28 and 27). We'll be back, probably very soon!

Some older establishments live off their hype but we not Sardi’s. We had a wonderful time. Wonderful service and great food.

Another terrific meal though the bartender needs to be more careful when dealing with allergies but our waitress was very attentive. The food was delicious and we never tire of being in this iconic restaurant
