Depuis le 2 octobre 1968, le prestige du Sardine Factory a transformé un repas dans l'historique Cannery Row en une véritable institution pour les dirigeants du monde, les plus grand sportifs et les icônes du spectacle. Ses chefs primés préparent de délicieuses créations de fruits de mer frais et durables ainsi que du bœuf de qualité USDA maturé à sec. Le restaurant a également remporté le prix de « La meilleure carte des vins des États-Unis » du magazine Restaurant Hospitality. Les spectacles, la happy hour et les menu abordables du salon représentent une alternative décontractée aux autres salles à manger. Le restaurant célèbre sa 47ème année sous la même direction et le même propriétaire !

Versatile and accommodating David takes and plays requests from Led Zeppelin to Elvis Presley to the Everly Brothers.

The food was so good. We both had the mushrooms stuffed with crab. Could have just eaten 2-3 orders of that alone. It was amazing. For the mains we had the salmon and the butterfish. Again, both were exceptional. I would also say the waiter (Josee) was really helpful and funny. The ambiance was really nice and reminded us of Tavern on the Green in New York for the seating. Don’t let the odd name throw you off as this is one of the best restaurants in North America!

Second time here and the experience was better than the first time. It goes without saying, the food was exceptional. Our wait staff, Don and Reggie, were attentive and personable. We enjoyed talking and laughing with them as time allowed. Special kudos to the sommelier, Natalie. We discussed wines and wine regions. After dinner she gave my son and I a tour of the wine cellar. Seeing a bottle of the 1973 Chateau Montellana Chardonnay that won the 1976 Blind taste test in 1976 was a real touch of history for wine buffs. We plan to come to Carmel annually and The Sardine Factory will be a must every time

Our dining experience was phenomenal! We were greeted by two warm and welcoming hosts who seated us in The Steinbeck Room. It was quiet and cozy with a partial view of the ocean. Leah was our attentive and efficient server. She and her assistant left no stone unturned. Our starters: Cheese Bread, Oysters Rockefeller, Abalone Bisque, and house salad with candied garlic dressing were delicious! We both had the abalone medallions accompanied by Parmesan Chive Risotto, grilled artichokes, broccolini, and carrots which were all ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! To cleanse our palates, we had ginger-peach sorbet served in ice sculptured swans. It was a perfect way to conclude such a special meal!

The staff of the Sardine factory are all so friendly, warm and welcoming. I had a great experience along with my family at this amazing restaurant . They are attentive and worked flawlessly. Our food was great, classic offerings that we enjoyed. The decorations and the architecture of the restaurant took me to a different place and time, I loved dining in the conservatory due to its dramatic look tucked away from the street and busy parking lots of Monterey Ca.

Our Waiters Brandon and Pedro were terrific. Ambience was nice in the conservatory and all food we ordered were delicious. Thank you for making our evening wonderful.

Great atmosphere, amazing food. Desert was not on same level as the rest of our dinner but overall was fabulous. We will be coming back.
