    I wanted to provide feedback regarding an issue with your receipts that may cause confusion for customers. The suggested tip amounts seem to be calculated based on the total bill, including taxes, rather than the pre-tax subtotal. This practice can mislead customers into tipping more than intended, as tips are generally calculated based on the pre-tax amount. Additionally, I noticed that service charges or additional fees are not clearly labeled or explained on the receipt. Without clarification, customers might assume they still need to add a tip, potentially leading to double-tipping. To improve transparency and avoid confusion, I recommend adjusting your receipt layout to make it clear how the suggested tip amounts are calculated, and providing better labeling for service charges. This will help ensure customers feel confident in the accuracy of their payments. Thank you for considering this feedback. I believe these changes will enhance the experience for your customers and build trust in your service. We have dined at 19 different restaurants and dined at those multiple times. I will be paying attention to this aspect and should I see it again, that will be the last time I visit one of the restaurants. Thank you for considering this feedback.     I have been going to Ruth Chris for over 20 years and this particular location 15+ times. Atmospher…First is was my wife’s birthday and we were sat at a booth right next to the servers entrance. I had a full view into that area (I know where the water pitchers are stored, where they stacked up the circle plates for holding drinks and figured out “corner” is being yelled when employees are returning with a loaded plate of dirty table dishes—because I could see right into that area from my seat—which occured every few minutes). Service, as much as the waiter was enthusiastic and “tried” to be friendly but it was so obvious he was not properly trained to wait tables at a high end restaurant (found out he was a food runner for 7 months and an actually waiter for only 2 months). I blame mgmt. to have not trained him better to improve his technique. Also, he appearance (name tag with no name, his hair could have really been shampooed, looked like haven’t shampooed it a day or two—now I get it, don’t know the back story or what happened to him before work, but there was a huge up side to the “waiter experience “. The food was very good, my steak was a tad undercooked for Med-well (but definitely not a deal breaker) and did have to had to flag down a manager for condiments for my steak because I was not asked what I needed when it was delivered. There is another Ruth Chris here in town and much as I like the downtown location, I am torn to going to other downtown places (Morton’s, Capital Grill, etc).

    We went to Ruth’s Chris for a birthday dinner for my husband who was craving a great steak house experience. We were left disappointed and will choose an alternate steakhouse next time. The restaurant was fairly empty around 7:15pm, about 60-70% of the tables were unoccupied. We were sat at a small corner table near the front which meant a fair bit of disturbances from the host walking parties to their tables. We were at a table next to the wall which had elaborate wood paneling. The paneling was covered in dust, it was clear they have not cleaned that area in months. To the point where it was difficult to not be disgusted by it when food items would get too close to the wall. The server was new but very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the porterhouse for two, shoestring fries, asparagus with a cocktail and a glass of wine. The server came to our table a few times to clarify our needs like if we wanted the porterhouse cut in the kitchen and the add on sauce on the side or on the steak. We asked for it cut and the sauce on top. When the steak arrived, it was cut but the sauce on the side. The sauce was then cold. The server said it was her first time serving the steak for two so she had a helper. They proceeded to add the steak slices to the hot plates in front of us. The butter on the plate sizzled and popped onto my lap and the server continued to pile the steak onto our plates. I would have greatly preferred if we were able to serve ourselves from the steak plate. Instead, they piled the steak pieces onto our plates and the steak cooked significantly while we tried to work our way through the meal. We looked forward to trying the filet side vs the New York strip side but could not easily discern since the steak plate was taken away from us. The server also wanted to “ensure we got all the steak from the bone” so proceeded to hack at the T bone with a steak knife at the table before adding the extra hunk to my plate. Overall would not recommend

    It was amazing! Our food was phenomenal and the service by our server Dominic was even better. I will definitely be coming back :)

    Came here for the first time on my birthday. I was one of the last reservations for the night. My server had a 2 huge parties (10+ people) she had to tend to and you can tell she was overwhelmed. She went around the table and took everyone’s order except mine (the birthday boy) she did expressly apologize but the problem was it took her so long to come back to check on us we got someone else to put my appetizer and drink order in. The food took a really long time to come out. We arrived 845 on time our food came out at around 1045. I’m not sure if this is standard or normalized timing but I don’t think I’ve waited that long regardless of the number of people I have in my party. I’m very doubtful I’ll return food is good but not good enough for the service to be poor.

    I was surprised that not only has the menu prices gone up since our last dinner experience but they now also do not include complimentary valet parking. Note - Valet parking costs $15. The attendants were professional and courteous but it did take 25 minutes to receive our vehicle. Food quality - As always was very good. I had a party of six and all of the entrees were cooked as requested. The calamari was exceptional. The au poivre sauce wasn't very good and not worth the $7. Need a new recipe. Service - was a bit disjointed. Michael was our server and he explained that he was on loan from the South Park Ruth's. It took us 2 1/2 hours to eat. We waited a long time to order and then waited for what seemed like a long time and my appetizer and one salad came out. I asked our server for the other two salads and finally he brought them out along with another calamari appetizer. We then waited a long time for entrees. Finally they came along with the different sides we ordered. Again, after finishing eating it took a long time for our plates to be cleared. Our server brought out complementary birthday cakes for the table. After completion again we waited what seemed a long time to get our check. After signaling our server he finally brought it over. At the price point of Ruth Chris I expect perfection. This experience was just not what we have experienced in the past. The manager did come by the table but I really couldn't discuss this at that time with the rest of my party sitting at the table. The cost of valet parking while I appreciate why they need to charge it will cause us to utilize another restaurant where parking is complementary.

    The service is just outstanding. I've been to Ruth's Chris many times and I've had zero complaints each time so I am a fan. My latest experience was still excellent but I did have a complaint ( first time ever). I ordered the veal osso buco ravioli as an appetizer, as I always do. However, this time one of the ravioli was hard and another one was cold around the edges. I told Roger, our server, and he asked if I wanted him to bring me a fresh dish and I said no it's ok but he insisted and made things right. And that fresh dish was perfectly delicious. The rest of the meal was also scrumptious from the drinks (chocolate martinis) to the entrees (sea bass and petite filet mignon with shrimp) to the desserts (crème brûlée and bread pudding). It is pricey ($28 for a 5 oz add-on lobster tail) but oh so worth it. Don't hesitate, go eat, be merry and enjoy!!😊

    Had a great business dinner with two colleagues I have been working with for a decade. Great company, great restaurant. The food was nothing less than exceptional and let me say that Dominique was world class in his service for us. Great guy, elaborate, clear and definitive in his presentations. Ask for him if you get the chance. Thanks to the Ruth Chris team as a whole and to "Dom" personally. We will see you again!
