I had high expectations going into dinner being that Ruth Chris is a nationwide name. From the moment we sat down the service was poor. The waiter took 20 minutes to get a glass of wine to me. In fact the appetizer arrived before the glass of wine. The table was so dark we couldn’t see the food we asked him why and he said the light was broken. We asked for an additional candle and he said he couldn’t do anything for us then the food came and it was the most overpriced low quality food we’ve had in Scottsdale. We go to a lot of steakhouses and couldn’t believe the prices they charged and the poor quality that came out of the kitchen. In fact, we had to return the Seabass because it was rubbery undercooked and had no flavor . The crabcakes were mushy and had a strong smell of fish that is not normal with crabcakes . Each of our entrées was close to $50 each . We would never go to this establishment again and we recommend that you skip it and go to one of the 20 other wonderful steakhouses in Scottsdale

We headed to the Scottsdale Ruth's Chris. A wonderful location with a sizeable outside patio, although a cold breeze kept us inside. We've been to RC and Chicago several times. Leo was our server: attentive and professional. We were there for our 40th anniversary and the couple adjacent was celebrating #50. Leo was informative and helpful with menu items, never rushing us at any stage. Ribeye steaks were perfectly grilled and sizzling hot as desired. The creamed spinach is a must-have when dining at RC. Robust Malbec added to it all. Leo also offered a free shared cheesecake dessert. Very tasty. Leo enjoyed a 33% tip from us. The afternoon happy hour is also a fun time to stop at RC when the weather is neither too hot nor too cool to enjoy the patio. As Chicagoans with a winter home in Scottsdale, this location's service rivals Chicago restaurants in service and attention to detail. This is the exception that proves the rule as many Scottsdale locations of various restaurants are typically and noticeably inferior.

Excellent food and even better service - Tracey was perfect as our server. She was friendly, funny, and gave us time to enjoy. She made the night great.

Food was very good, service good, restaurant was a little plain. Very pricey. Expected a little more fur the cost.

Great food out on the balcony watching the sunset. Our server and staff were outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!

Efran was a great waiter. The food and service were excellent as always. We enjoyed it very much like so many times we have been there prior.

I made reservations to celebrate my husband‘s birthday. Communication prior to our dinner was very good. I even got a message as we were on our way asking if we were still planning to come and that our table was ready. When we arrived, our table had little birthday decor, sprinkles, and everyone was very kind to wish my husband a happy birthday. We ordered cocktails, then a bottle of wine, split a Caesar salad, 2 steaks and au gratin potatoes. Bread was warm and butter was soft (yay!). Our server, Calvin, was kind and attentive. The only thing that happened that was unfortunate is we both ordered our steaks medium rare. My husband‘s ribeye was perfect but my New York strip was actually medium well. I cut into the center to see if it was a little less done there, but it was almost completely cooked all the way through. As much as I hated you, I had to send it back and it did take a while to get a second steak. By that time, my husband was finished with his and I had to finish my meal on my own. The manager came by to apologize, and of course, Calvin was very helpful and brought a complementary crème brulee with happy birthday wishes on the serving tray. But he forgot my husband’s coffee. It wasn’t on the bill, so we just skipped it. Overall we had a lovely dinner but those little things are important.m, especially with so many options for upscale streak houses in town.

We love going to Ruth's!! Ally always takes care of us spectacularly!! The food was great and the leftovers make another great meal!!
