Disappointing birthday dinner, poor food & service quality. The appetizers were incredibly disappointing. The calamari, which came highly recommended, was the worst I’ve ever had. For $23, I expected perfectly cooked calamari, but it arrived cold, hard, chewy, and clearly not fresh. The lobster bisque was lukewarm and salty, making the $15 price tag hard to swallow. I only finished it to avoid wasting food. The main courses were just as underwhelming. My steak, ordered medium, arrived well-done, rendering it tough, flavorless, and far from the quality expected for $67. My partner’s Cowboy Ribeye, priced at $78, was also poorly prepared. For that price, we expected premium-quality steak, but the execution was no better than what you’d find at a mid-tier chain like LongHorn or Texas Roadhouse. The side dishes were equally disappointing. Both the mushrooms and Brussels sprouts arrived cold, which made their $14 price tags unjustifiable. The only saving grace was the Au Gratin potatoes, which were served hot and fresh—likely because the cheese was broiled just before serving. The one bright spot of the meal was the crème brûlée for dessert. It was well-executed and enjoyable, but for a $340 meal, I expected far more than a single highlight. Adding to the disappointment was the inconsistency in service. After reading other reviews, I noticed some guests received birthday cakes for their special occasions. I, however, did not receive anything to mark my celebration. Overall, this was the worst fine dining experience I’ve ever had. The food was subpar, the service inconsistent, and the value nonexistent. For a special occasion like my birthday, this experience left me feeling completely robbed. I have contacted corporate about this disappointing experience, and I can’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. For the amount we spent, there are countless other restaurants that offer superior food, service, and overall value. Save yourself the disappointment, go elsewhere.

At my reservation, I put on there it was our anniversary. From the young lady who seated us and brought me a rose to Rodney who provided us with a dessert for our anniversary at the end, it was so special and made us feel that way. Our meals were new york strip and ribeye with the mushrooms, mashed potatoes, salads and asparagus. All of it was more than delicious! I had a couple cocktails, which were perfect. I've eaten at Ruth Chris a couple of times in New Orleans but my husband had never experienced it. I have never been disappointed at Ruth Chris. This meal was exceptional due to the staff! Our Anniversary meal was excellent!

Always an outstanding experience. Our server, Bruce, was fantastic! He took great care of us and was so much fun! Food and drinks were excellent as always. Our "go to" place for celebrating!

the meal was just off and not what we expect from ruth's chris. martini came without the requested twist but olives. bread was taken away while we were still enjoying and as the salad hit the table. steaks came when we were half way thru the salad. baked potato was requested without sour cream but had sour cream. the wait staff was very friendly. the steak was cooked well.

The food and service was great. However, we had always be seated in the the dinning room. However, we were offered the bar area and asked to be seated in the dinning room. We were told there were no opening in the dining room and were offered the basement. Since we were already there, we accepted basement seating. The seating was OK but not up the the atmosphere in the dining room for example there were, as you can expect in the basement, no windows. The overall quality of the area was not up to the standards of Ruth Chris. If Ruth Chris is going to select seating options without the dinner being notified, we should be asked where we want to sit when we make the reservation. This option exist in OpenTable for other restaurants. In my opinion, it is not possible to have an overall great experience sitting in the basement. We will request sitting in the dining room when we make our next reservation and ask that they confirm that sitting arrangement before we make the reservation.
