    Waiter was sweet but not accurate or attentive. She never brought out things that were asked for. After reminding her about one thing she stated she thought someone else brought it out. Asked for no tomatoes on salad. Salad came out with tomatoes. Asked for two cups of ice, never received. When she boxed my leftovers up she put my creamed spinach on top of my chicken mashed down in same box. Never had that happen before, that annoyed me once I opened it I don’t like my food to touch. Manager visited every table around us but passed ours several times not even acknowledging us. I visit Ruth Chris so often first time at this location. The ambiance was the best I’ve seen, food was 8/10, service was about a 4/10. In other words I’ve had better!

    Had a 7:45 reservation. Did not get seated untill 8:05. Lobster tail was crunchy and not worth the price. Steaks were good but not as good as last months visit. Service overall was lacking. Glasses of water were empty most of the meal. Server had to be reminded we already ordered dessert.

    Open table reservations had 30 minute time slots open from 5pm to 10:30pm. I made 7pm reservations, waited in the overcrowded lobby area 25 minutes to be seated in the requested area at the time of booking. The offered reservation time was misleading because the restaurant was packed full of walk-ins. Why offer reservations if you’re not going to reserve seating for those who go through the proper channel of booking a reservation? The bar area smelled of marijuana smoke, with lots of ppl standing around. Walk-ins seem to be prioritized. I wish restaurants went back to having standards.

    As usual, the food was excellent. (Though I would argue that the crab beignets are not beignets at all … but they are still delicious. One minor setback, the gumbo was warm, but by no means hot. We were seated in the function room, which was fine because it was separated into sections and was quiet. However, as tables emptied and were not needed any more, they were broken down and removed, which was distracting and left an unsightly scene (with chairs just randomly scattered about. This should have waited until all the diners were done and gone, not while we were still eating entrees, and had dessert yet to go. Not good for a fine dining establishment.

    During my visit, my food was mistakenly delivered to the wrong table. It was then taken back to the kitchen and brought out to me. This raised concerns about food handling and hygiene, as I’m unsure whether the food was inspected or replaced after being at another table. However, the staff did acknowledge the issue and kindly removed the item from my bill, which I appreciated.

    I have gone to Ruth Chris Pikesville for years on NYE. This year it was cramming people in rather than good service. Bar and desserts were backed up and took over 20 minutes to get a drink. I had to keep asking for water and after the sixth time and 15 minutes to get my glass filled. Waited with reservation over 30 minutes after my reservation time. We were put in a conference room/ banquet room area. Chairs were uncomfortable and the atmosphere was not as nice as the main dining area. Food was the quaility expected.

    The food and service was amazing as usual. This is an annual tradition for me and my husband. Ruth Chris never disappoints.

    The restaurant did a good job handling the New Year’s Eve crowd. The food is always good. Service was a little hit and miss but overall fine.
