    We go to many Ruths Chris restaurants around the country as we travel. Have been to this Palm Desert location before and thoroughly enjoyed. This time (a Sunday) we were disappointed. Told at the outset that they were out of baked potatoes, T-bone steak, and extra cheese sauce for the stuffed chicken breast. We *think* that baked potatoes became available later on. While our female server was friendly, she was busy with other tables and didn't come by all that often. Our appetizers and other food items were left on the table for far too long after we had finished eating them. Not appealing to sit and look at used food dishes at our table! In addition to being turned down for additional cheese sauce added to the chicken order, the chicken received had half the usual amount. It was obvious that for some reason, they were unable to make more. Supply shortage? We wonder why someone can't use petty cash funds and go to a nearby market to get what's needed. Being told a restaurant is out of several items does not sit well with customers who are spending a good deal of money for what is hoped to be a quality meal. The steak was a bit "ropey" and tough in places which is usually not found at a Ruths Chris. Not enough to send back to the kitchen, but not what we usually get at this chain. Front desk receptionist was very friendly and seated us at a type of table we requested. The valet, which we did not use, still greeted us in a friendly manner. Not our best Ruths Chris experience this time around!

    The food was classic Ruth’s Chris. Steak was very good and sides also. The service was weak, however. Hector had a rough night. He struggled to remember things, and his remarks were more appropriate for Applebees. Hopefully, he’ll get some training.

    Our steaks, a filet and a ribeye, were perfectly cooked and excellent in all other regards. The sweet potato purée with pecan topping, a side special, was a hit.

    We were very disappointed with the preparation of the steaks. Both steaks were overcooked. When we showed the manager how a steak requested to be “medium rare” was actually prepared she agreed it was overcooked. No consideration was offered and none was requested. We expected more of a RUTH’S CHRIS restaurant as we have been customers of the chain for decades.

    Food was below expectations. Lobster bisque had a unusual taste to it. Steaks were average as well. Only thing good was the crème brûlée and bread pudding . Several Ruth CHRIS steakhouses over the years and this was not up to the quality I had expected probably won’t be going back

    Great dinner! Ruth Chris always is great for both service and food especially if you want a steakhouse .

    We do like Ruth’s Chris but had an unfortunate experience this time. Painfully slow service kept us at the table for 3 hours! For 3 courses.

    I frequently dine at Ruth Chris, but due to my shellfish allergy, I always stick to the chicken dish. I am accustomed to the way it is prepared and served on a hot plate. I usually order the same size meal with broccoli and mashed potatoes, as these items are safe for me. However, during my recent visit, the broccoli was lukewarm and the chicken breast was particularly fatty, requiring me to spit out pieces of fat. The meat was dry and not up to the usual standard I expect from Ruth Chris. Despite this disappointment, I left a $30 tip, as I have had better experiences at their other locations in the past.
