Le Ruth's Chris Steak House a été fondé à la Nouvelle-Orléans, en Louisiane, par Ruth Fertel, une mère célibataire de deux enfants qui rêvait d'une vie meilleure pour elle et ses deux fils. Elle y a donc acheté le steakhouse « Chris » qui comptait déjà 38 ans d'activité au cours des années précédentes. Après un incendie qui l'a conduite à se déplacer de l'adresse d'origine, elle rebaptisa son restaurant « Ruth's Chris ». Aujourd'hui, il existe plus de 140 restaurants Ruth’s Chris Steak Houses à travers le monde. Vous serez les bienvenus dans les tout nouveaux locaux de Marina Del Rey, en Californie.

Food was just ok as compared to other steak houses (Mastro’s, Morton’s) and everything was over salted. Service was subpar and needed to be reminded to bring things that were ordered. Never got our water refilled. Got the bill right after dinner and the waiter was surprised that we wanted to order dessert and coffee. We were rushed. He thanked us for our patience but he wasn’t really that busy with only 4 tables (I was a server myself so I am familiar). All in all it was just ok, nothing special.

Ruth's Chris in the Marina never disappoints. The food and service were excellent. We always enjoy going here. The only problem we ever have is being able to eat all the food we order. lol

While I wish to give a much better rating, it was an unfortunately bad experience. I selected RC hoping to receive predictably good service and decent food. Service being the most important, especially when entertaining clients. Starting with drinks, it took about 30 minutes of sitting at the table before we had drinks. The nice manager did attempt to make things up to us, but really we just wanted good service to begin with. The empty drink debacle continued throughout the meal. When our food arrived, the person delivering the food, yelled out each item and said “who gets the steak? Who gets the salad?” For each entree, like you’d expect at a Dennys or a diner. Once the meals arrived, my guests wanted steak sauce, they were out of all but one, I don’t remember which one because it wasn’t one anyone wanted. There is a Grocery store just below this RC location where they really could have and should have gone to to buy A1 and or Worcester or Heinz 51 sauces when they realized early in the evening they were out. How difficult would that be? When we were finished, the server then forgot the desserts that came with the meal. We asked, and waited some more. Once they arrived, we were spent on time, we asked for them to go because we had been there so long, with truly sub par service. Again, the nice floor manager attempted to make up for it with a comp of some sort. While the gesture is nice, I’d like to say all we wanted was good service to begin with, especially me since I hand picked RC so we could have a nice, predictable meal, with good service. The amount of the bill was frankly irrelevant, we just wanted decent/good service. It was a bummer dining experience, I’m sorry to say.

Food quality wasn’t that good and the sweet potato casserole came out extremely hot and burnt my tongue very badly

We showed up 10 minutes early for our 7:15 PM reservation. We had to wait 10 minutes, despite the fact that 2/3 of the tables were empty. We were seated at an unclean table. After 30 minutes with no waiter, I walked to the desk and let them know we had yet to receive menus. The desk clerk gave us menus. After being there 55 minutes without a waiter we left.

Another wonderful dinner at our favorite steakhouse in the Westside. Food, service and outdoor dining was perfect. We will definitely go back soon.

Catching up with a dear friend, this was the perfect spot. We were warmly greeted and escorted to our table. Our server, Bree was amazing. Given ample time to review the menu and place our order we chose Rib Eye and Sea Bass with a generous number of sides. Not our first time there, we will continue to choose this restaurant for an enjoyable dining experience.
