    Went here to celebrate my birthday. As we entered, the place itself was very basic compared to other Ruths Chris restaurants. It was dull but again it was Monday so understandable. We were greeted by waiter on the table explained everything and we ordered Crab cakes for appetizers, new york strip and fillet for entree along with lobster mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole on the side. Crab cake was alright, will rate 5.5/10, it was better when we added butter to it. Both Entree Steaks had no taste to it, we were told it will be cooked with salt pepper and parsley which pretty much how most places do, and when steak arrived it was just dumped on a plate full of butter ( no presentation at all). Upscale Places like this I go for presentation and was very disappointed. Anyhow I was expecting a good taste atleast like crispy on the outside, juice inside steak but that steak was chewy and soft, no crispyness or taste. Rate 2/10 (edible) Now comes sides, lobster mac and cheese, looked alright presentation wise not great but the taste was very bland, no flavors at all. Very disappointed. Sweet Potato Casserole was alright. The top layer was as filled with pecan crust and brown sugar. So every bite we took, we tasted only the crust like 80% of it and only 20% felt like sweet potato. For the first time, we bought a food in a restaurant and didn’t finish it. We tried adding salt and pepper to enhance the flavors to get to where we can at least enjoy a bit but It didn’t work. Manager of that place, kept on coming to our table with a horrible and dull energy. Stared at us as if we are not going to pay him or something. I think he was just checking on us but a simple smile would be nice. He made us feel very uncomfortable with his presence and energy. At the end, they did offer us complimentary chocolate mousse dessert for my birthday and that was the best part of whole dinner. That mousse was delicious! Overall, I never experienced 4 start restaurant this bad!!

    We celebrated our wedding anniversary there. It was an awesome experience. The staff was very attentive and caring. The food was hot and fresh. Steaks looked beautiful and were tender and juicy. We will definitely go back.

    Saw sketchy reviews after making the reservation but decided to give it a try. We were very pleased with our food and service. It was a Sunday night and there were alot of open tables but we would go back again. I understand when paying higher prices your expectations should be met, and happily ours were.

    I visit Ruth Chris once a month as it’s my favorite restaurant. Before the downtown locations was built I would visit this location and each time there was always something wrong with my order. Yesterday the food came out warm but immediately got cold. The garlic mashed potatoes were not done all the way. Overall, this location does not serve the best food downtown Greenville location never fails me. The food is hot the entire time you’re eating and you don’t have to send food back because of errors. If I could give any advice to a potential customer, I would advise them to go to the downtown Greenville location that serves the best food and the atmosphere is better.

    The food was amazing. The service was terrible. Very slow. We sat with water and bread for at least 40 minutes before we received the bottle of wine we ordered. The food came out just as slowly. I do not recommend this location

    Surprisingly we had a very bad experience at Ruth’s Chris. Ever since we ate there for the first time three years prior we were really looking forward to our next time at Ruth’s Chris. We came to celebrate for our five year anniversary and despite having a reservation for 6:00pm we weren’t sat until 6:50pm. We then waited for another 5 min before our waiter came at which point they sped through an introduction, took an order and disappeared. Eventually our food came out. They flip flopped how they cooked the steaks, my wife’s was medium rare & mine was medium well which wasn’t how we ordered them. On 4 separate occasions we had to wave the hostess and other workers down to ask for water refills, boxes, our check, etc because our server was never around. There was a five minute period where we didn’t have water and the assistant server said he would bring water but then forgot about us so we had to reask. We also had to grab salt & pepper from a different table. We understand they were busy due to it being restaurant week but it was truly a very very disappointing experience from what could have been an amazing dinner. Normally we wouldn’t really care about the different things, but the fact that Ruth’s Chris touts being a top tier steakhouse, they should hold themselves to a higher standard, especially when we are paying hundreds of dollars for our meal.
