   As a repeat customer, we were not disappointed with the service, quality and preparation of the food. Servers are super friendly and attentive to wishes and needs. Highly recommend this restaurant.

   Ruth never fails us. We love the sizzling ribeye steaks. They’re always seasoned lightly and grilled at right temperature. Our wait staff was super helpful and professional. We enjoyed the sides (scalloped potatoes and grilled asparagus.) The pineapple martini paired well with the plate of oyster Rockefeller for our appetizer. Also thank you for the valet parking g service. Always helpful especially in that area. We’ll come back again the next time we crave those steaks. Thank you for making our dinner special.

   We were a little disappointed this time. My husband's ribeye steak came out purple, even though he requested it to be medium rare. Also, the au gratin potatoes were not close to traditional au gratin potatoes, which was very disappointing. The potatoes were cubed instead of thinly sliced, making them hard and sometimes raw. Also, the cheese used was not Guyure but instead appeared to be American. However, our waiter was wonderful

   Great wine dinner. Food and drink outstanding. Service superior. Only negative is they add an 18% gratuity without your permission. They also have a hidden $3 pp charge added to the bill for administration for a special event. That I didn’t like. When the CC bill comes the tip line is there and you could tip twice. No one at the restaurant brings this to you attention.

   Ruth's Chris was our choice of Restaurant Week restaurants when we celebrated the birthday of a family member with rather unadventurous eating habits. The meal was very nice but a couple little things kept it from being a five-star experience. First and foremost the gumbo soup was absolutely delicious, the best I've had since I've lived on the East Coast. The house wine is very drinkable, we had cabernet, and the petite fillets my husband and sister have were delicious. I had a stuffed chicken and it was a bit too cheesy for me, but the crowd at Ruth Chris's tends to be big eaters so the majority probably like the cheesy stuff. The flavor was good. The mashed potatoes were just about perfect. Creamed spinach was absolutely heaven. Desserts were disappointment. They go with the trend of mushy stuff in ramekins instead of proper pies and cakes. We had ice cream and a serving was three scoops, quite large. The ice cream is average. My husband's after dinner coffee was way too smoky and bitter. When we came in with reservations, a very young hostess greeted us and we were seated at a table in the corner of the bar. I asked if we could be seated upstairs or in one of the other rooms because I don't like eating in the bar but she insisted that that was a very good table. It wasn't, we could see the station where the waiter stand and the two flapping doors from the kitchen and the people at the bar staring at their cell phones. The waiter was very good but at each turn he tried to upsell us to a different menu item even though we said we wanted the restaurant week menu. Again, he was a very good waiter and they actually have a bus staff, unlike most restaurants, so that was nice. The dessert, ice cream, came in a parfait cup with no plate under it and a really big spoon was served with it. This is happening everywhere. My requested teaspoon never came. The atmosphere is lovely, but the crowd wasn't fancy at all. Certainly everyone is welcome here.

    The waiter constantly gave us his recommendations for every item when not asked. It felt like he was trying to upsell so that he’d get a large tip. It started with the wine (without him knowing what we were considering ordering) and when i mentioned that we don’t drink, he then went on to mention the cocktails and told us ‘his favorite’. This continued throughout the meal. I’m sorry - unless I ask your recommendation, please don’t try to interject. It was unpleasant. You pay a lot for your meal. This was bothersome and will affect me considering going back.
