Our server Shea was an absolute gem. We were able to get seated outside at the patio and the view was spectacular! Wish there was a little more variety on the menu. Especially gluten free

Hello BasmaK , Sorry you were unhappy with the variety of the menu, as a Steak House, there are a lot of steaks and meat items on it , however we do try and balance it out with something for everyone including vegan and vegetarian, also 95% of our menu is gluten free, all our soups and sauces are gluten free, with the exception of the dinner rolls and the croutons for the salads the entire menu is almost gluten free and we do offer gluten free dinner rolls and the croutons can be omitted from the salads. Our dessert menu has more items that have gluten in them but there are a couple of Gluten free items on it as well. Sorry if this was not explained to you,

This place is TRULY a treasure in the rockies. Not o ly in the ambience and scenery spectacular, but the FOOD is INCREDIBLE-- The beef, wagyu and seafood are expertly prepared, with a delightful deep wine selection. The service is impeccable- Steph is a master at her job, and we consider Rustica and Silvertip to be our special place.

Isabel is a gem. She is a wonderful person. We have enjoyed her service for years. The food was not the experience we expected We had the Bass special. It was bland and the tenderloin was still bleeding. When warmed it was overdone and grey. The prices have become extreme. We were not thrilled with our dinner The ambience and Isabel are unbearable. The food is not up to what we have experienced in the past.

Hello Kate , Sorry you were not happy with your meals, we do our best to keep prices fair , however food, especialy prime cuts of beef has gone up to highs I have never seen before. sorry again you were unhappy.

We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Very nice to have knowledgeable staff concerning gluten free items. Food was prepared very well and had great flavours. Stephanie was our server and did a great job! We will be going back.

We have to say that Rustica more than made up for a previous bad experience we had there. We were lucky enough to have Isabella serve us again and Stephanie who also welcomed us back. The service was amazing from the start and we were well taken care of. The food was delicious and came out to the table with much better timing and for the fact the restaurant was super busy and also short staffed, We look forward to the next time we are in Canmore to dine with Rustica again.

Our family of five from Washington DC thoroughly enjoyed our recent dinner at Rustica. The steakhouse focuses on local meats and produce that makes it extra special for visitors from outside Alberta. Four of us split their Albertan tomahawk steak for four people, which was expertly prepared and came with possibly the best risotto we’ve ever had. Our service by Stephanie was outstanding, and the quiet atmosphere allowed us to talk and enjoy our wonderful meal. Highly recommend.

Uncertain Elk served was actually elk. A very small bone extruding from a ball of grissel, gross and for $69! I've killed and eaten Elk and this was gross. I'd hope for a steak and had one piece of edible meat. Sorbet was hard as a rock and tasted like freezer burn. Will never return.

Hello Anonymous , Sorry you were not happy with your meals, unfortunately elk is ungraded and as such its hard to ensure every piece is tender, 99% of our feedback on this item is positive and generally receives great reviews , as for the palate cleanser it too has always been well received, we ask our servers to check with all diners if there are any negative responses regarding any menu item , but especially the game items , we would always replace or refund. Sorry again .
