My husband and I met friends in Shoreline and were pleasantly surprised by the venue. It was a beautiful place on a Saturday evening. Service exceeded all expectations. The staff was knowledgeable, engaging, and efficient. It was disappointing that the food was not at the same level. The cocktail menu and wine list was great. Food was standard fare with some duck dishes added, presumably for flare. It was prepared satisfactorily, if not enticing. We really hoped for something special.

Wine corkage used to be free when a Washington wine. It is now 15.00 and an additional 30.00 for a 1.5L bottle.

We had reservations for my husband’s birthday and arrived when the restaurant was pretty empty. Our server was friendly and made sure to write down all of my husband’s food allergies which was a relief. The water distributor was so a top of his game, our water glasses were never empty which we appreciated. The issues we had was the length of time it took to receive our entree’s…it was over an hour and many other tables complained of how long service was taking too. The most annoying part was that after all the communication of my husbands food allergies, and the server going back to confirm with the kitchen that what he ordered was doable, when we finally received our dinners the service team realized that there was a miscommunication with the kitchen and they had put the sauce that had all of the allergens in it. So..after just a little over an hour of waiting for all our food, the birthday person had to his meal sent back and then wait another 25 mins on top of that to get his meal; which by that time he was eating dinner by himself. The rest of us that received our entrees had food that wasn’t hot it was warm on some parts and lukewarm to cool on other parts. Which is weird when you’re eating grilled salmon or Mac and cheese. Overall, service was slow and we were disappointed. We watched the restaurant go from empty up to fill up, and then back to empty again and by the time it was time to order dessert we were worried we’d have to wait another hour + so we decided to forego and just leave. Clearly back of house and the expeditor was struggling last night and that needs to be addressed because it could’ve been a great evening but it was lackluster, especially out of all the people who kept referring us to Russel’s it didn’t live up to our expectations sadly, aside from the water service—now that guy needs to be promoted to server and I bet he’d run circles around everyone!

We love dining at Russell's. Not only is the food always delicious, but our server, Rebecca N., makes every dining experience the best! This was our first time to take our friends who joined us, and they were very impressed as well, and asked, "why haven't we been coming to this place all the time?" We look forward to our next visit.

Highly rated so was expecting top notch. Cute barn atmosphere. Service was great. Water was always fun. Server was great and friendly. Food was just okay for the cost. The steaks were both ordered the same medium and they were both cooked differently and pretty rare. Pear baked Brie was delicious. Arugula salad was great! I don’t think I would return unless for event. Felt overpriced for the meal and atmosphere. There was a party upstairs and you heard them walking around a lot.

Loved the food and our waiters! They were spot on. Sorry to say the bar experience was lacking in service. Took 15 minutes for bartender to even acknowledge us and we were the only ones there. Had to send back a drink and had to ask for a bucket of ice. That was our only disappointment in an otherwise wonderful dinner!

Dined here for our anniversary. Delicious mussels in smoked salmon broth for appetizer. Steak that melted in your mouth. Very large portion of steak too.

Russells is our favorite place for date night! Dinner is perfection each time - BEST salmon in Washington. Servers are always friendly, drinks are delish. We'll be back.
