Le renommé RT's est depuis 26 ans l'endroit par excellence pour déguster les meilleurs fruits de mer du Nord de la Virginie. Toujours présent dans la liste des top 100 restaurants du « Washingtonian Magazine's », il est l'un des restaurants les mieux cotés pour ses fruits de mer dans le « Zagat Survey ». Son menu unique en son genre offre plusieurs spécialités créoles et cajuns comme les crevettes au Jack Daniel, la soupe au crabe épicé, le veau Oscar à la cajun, ou bien la langouste cuite à l'étouffée. I have enjoyed numerous meals at RT’s and they are consistently of high-quality. RT’s has superior service, a wonderful ambience, soft music in the background so you don’t have to raise your voice and exhaust yourself speaking. The restaurant is always festively decorated for every season/holiday of the year. It’s clear that the managers/owners take extraordinary pride in and care of their restaurant. Last but not least, the food is exceptionally delicious and well-presented every time! And while you might just drive past this wonderful restaurant on Mount Vernon Ave. in Alexandria, without noticing, it is truly a gem. It deserves a few Michelin stars.

We were here on a Saturday night, and pleased that it was busy but not deafeningly loud. I love the atmosphere and food at this place. The “hurricane” I ordered had little to no alcohol in it… I didn’t complain, but think that’s not really fair at $12. Otherwise, all good!

I’ve dined at RTs many, many times and it generally doesn’t disappoint. We ordered the Restaurant Week menu and I didn’t feel it was up to RTs normal level of quality. I’ll definitely go back but last nights wasn’t great.

Was a a great last minute unexpected friends in town and us too dinner. The restaurant week meal was fabulous and a great deal. Had a great time as usual in a beautiful place with superb friendly service. RTs is always a winner. Bring in a draft winter ale - all that is missing.

We feel as if the food quality has declined a bit. We had the shecrab soup and the etouffe. We have had these selections many times over many years. Last night, while still good, neither dish was as as excellent as it was as recently as two months ago.

The cuisine, service and ambiance for our family gathering of eight including 2 young grandkids was simply fabulous, and the tab didn’t break the bank. Perhaps most of all, the management and customers tolerated and actually seemed to enjoy the celebratory atmosphere we experienced. RT’s is a fabulous neighborhood favorite for every occasion, even for a quiet dinner when it’s just two of us. We love it! Thanks you!
