Amazing food. Best steak I’ve ever had. Prices are not for the faint of heart but worth every penny. Always go back when visiting Chicago.

We had a great experience for our anniversary dinner! I set a reservation for 9:30 via OpenTable, we were seated within minutes of our time! Our waiter was amazing! The food was phenomenal and the presentation was exquisite! Will be back! Can’t wait to try the other RPM restaurants!

The food was great and the service was good. However, I didn't like that they upcharged me $2 for ordering my whiskey neat. This happened to me once before in a tourist trap in Las Vegas. The difference though was that at the time, the bartender had the decency to warn me that there would be an upcharge for ordering the whiskey neat. Not this time, even though I asked the waiter before I ordered about the price and how many ounces it included. When you pay so much for a great steak dinner, two extra dollars does not make much of a difference, but when they hush their policy, hoping that by the time you pay the bill, you will not notice, I find this dishonest. And by the way, there is no logic in this practice, because when the menu lists the cost of a two-ounce whisky, it doesn't matter if it is with or without ice. After all, two ounces of liquid are a standard measure and do not change. To make a long story short, we loved the meal, but there are other great steakhouses in Chicago to explore.

We were celebrating our Anniversary and were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary champagne and special dessert as well as menus that were printed with “Happy Anniversary “ at the top! David took good care of us and we enjoyed the scallops, tuna tartare and Octopus appetizers as well as our main meal the Westholme strip. We would definitely recommend this place. The drink and wine options are a plenty. We were seated at a bar booth and felt it may have been a nicer/more intimate experience than the main floor seating. Everything was great!

The scallops appetizer was absolutely amazing! The Westholm Wagyu Strip was way too salty, too burned on the outside, and chewy, not worth $125 at all. Unfortunately, my Hasselback potato was burned. But the Hen of the woods wild mushrooms were great. Sadly I was really looking forward to the steak, which was the most disappointing part of my evening. Based on others reviews, I believe their food is normally great. Maybe it was because I was a party of one.
