We had a wonderful time at Roy’s this weekend! The food was amazing as always and our waiter, Oscar was very attentive, as well as the other service people. Thanks for a great experience!

Our waitress Christy(spelling) was fantastic.. The food was good but a tad bit salty.. However, The sauce on the Lobster we ordered was fantastic...

A Disappointing Fall from Grace at Roy's I recently visited Roy's, a restaurant that was once an absolute gem in my dining experiences. With fond memories from my last visit about seven years ago, I made reservations with high hopes, expecting the same delightful experience I once had. Unfortunately, those hopes were quickly dashed. Upon arrival, we were greeted politely, but the ambiance immediately felt off. The decor, which once exuded elegance, now appeared dated and worn out. It felt more like a dim sum place that had seen better days. The atmosphere was dim and lacked the inviting warmth I remembered, leaving me shocked and disappointed. The menu, which once boasted a stellar selection, was underwhelming, and the service took quite some time. When the food finally arrived, it was a major letdown—absolutely a two out of ten. The quality did not match the price, and I was left questioning what had happened to this once-great establishment. To top it off, I used the restroom only to find an environment that left much to be desired—curtains awkwardly blocking the entrance, seats and chairs that looked like they belonged in a garage sale. I came back to the table and couldn't help but think this place was in desperate need of a "restaurant rescue," like the ones you see on TV. After ordering an appetizer and trying to adjust to the environment, we decided to cash out and leave before ordering our main courses. We ended up eating next door, and let’s just say we were glad we made that choice. It’s disheartening to see a restaurant fall from grace like this. I would not recommend dining at Roy’s unless they undergo a complete overhaul. It’s clear that this place is not what it used to be, and it’s hard to justify the cost for such a disappointing experience.

On Friday , August 16, 2024 we were looking foresee to dinner at Roy’s Anaheim . The appetizers were decent: the Brussel sprouts and the chicken spring rolls had little to no chicken . I had to ask about the fish special (in this case Ono) and we had to ask for the “chef’s soecial menu “ Unfortunately what my guest wanted from that menu was not available . My wife ordered sushi and it was mostly rice and very little fish or other non-rice items. We had to ask for a ramekin and soy sauce to mix the wasabi when it should have come with . The ono was tough and macadamia nut crust was bland. The pork belly was fine and we must mention the chocolate soufflé was outstanding The service was slow and not attentive and the food overall was disappointing. For the price we expect much more .

Roy’s has always been a favorite restaurant for special occasions but the one in Dallas closed. Whenever we travel and there is a Roy’s, we try to go. The food is delicious and the service is always top notch. My favorite dessert is the chocolate soufflé which I always order. Also, the misoyaki butterfish is not to be missed.
