About ROKA

The name ROKA carries great meaning - ROKA is a meeting place where food and drinks are shared with friends (ro) and heat, warmth and an all-embracing energy surround (ka). The principle cuisine is from the robata grill, which originates from the fishermen of the northern coastal waters off japan, who would cook the fish on the boats with different charcoals and share the bounty with one another using their oars.

ROKA charlotte street opened in 2004, ROKA canary wharf in 2009, ROKA mayfair in february 2014 and ROKA aldwych in october 2014.

Kindly note that our set brunch menu is served throughout lunchtime on Saturdays and all day on Sundays – a la carte menu is not available during this time. Menus may vary according to date, time and location, please check menus prior to booking.

    Very good experience throughout, from food to service. Table service is excellent and compensates for a way less caring phone and door service.

    An amazing experience but definitely be prepared to spend! This is the best of the best food, kind of wish the portions were bigger but the experience was wonderful!

    I love Roka and have enjoyed the consistency of outstanding food and flavours since it began. Generally my visits have been at Charlotte St or Mayfair. This is the second time at Aldwych. The ambience is like the other two and the service was generally good. My only disappointment was the quantity of food. All of the portions were a lot smaller than what we were used too. All of the group commented and said the same. Is this the aftermath of lockdown and the cost of product? It was the only blip in a great night.

    I loved about the food, presentation at ROKA. The staff were attentive and helpful. The food were delicious and the portions were great. We had a lovely time. The presentation of the bowl of rice can be improved. (With rice all around the outside of the bowl, not neat & tidy enough)

    Weekday set menu is good value. Service wasn’t brilliant, we were in a corner and ignored quite a lot
