Rizzuto's Oyster Bar and Restaurant - Westport, CT offers private and festive cabana and patio outdoor dining, as well as comfortable and inviting indoor dining. The restaurant combines a warm urban environment and genuine hospitality with market-fresh fish, it's Lobster Shack lobster rolls that were recently voted Westport's best, our signature crab cake, a raw bar, prime steaks, pasta, and Neapolitan wood-fired pizza. Rizzuto's focuses on seasonal ingredients, simple preparations and great value. Rizzuto’s is a community driven restaurant and gathering destination for everyone to enjoy a great dining experience.
Located in the Saugatuck neighborhood of Westport, CT Rizzuto’s is across from the Saugatuck River. The restaurant boasts a large bar and lounge and the main dining room features an open kitchen and a grand stone fireplace. A large patio overlooks the Saugatuck neighborhood and the tranquil river.

Went for my mom’s birthday and was surprised by how quiet it was inside. Realized later all the hustle and bustle was outside. Nevertheless, the evening was lovely. I’m sure my sister is still going on about her veggie bowl with Salmon and Blood Orange sorbet. Mom had the Cobb salad with lobster and couldn’t believe all of the lobster meat. I enjoyed the scallops and we all enjoyed dessert! Thank you Carlos for singing, as it was his birthday too! Can’t wait to go back!!

We were so incredibly disappointed with our meal. Our waitress was fine, but the food was beyond disappointing. Pasta had zero seasoning and was as bland as can be. I ordered the steak free and I could not even eat half of it because the meat was such a poor cut and was just so chewy. And again, not seasoned at all. the bill came to $250 which is just outrageous!

I am so sorry you did not enjoy your meal. The steak frites is sirloin flap, a flavorful, but secondary cut and it is definitely not as tender as NY strip. What was the pasta you ordered? We can always rely on Rizzuto’s for the freshest fish and kindest staff in Westport! Oysters and crab cake were incredible, and we enjoyed our create your own fish dinner.

Most importantly, the food was excellent. The service was attentive, but not particularly professional. I eat at a fast pace but before finishing my salad, my entrée came to the table. Later on, the server filled my near empty glass of beer with water. Fortunately, he also refilled my water glass. Not the end of the world, but it certainly shows a lack of attention to detail. Lastly, we ate dinner at just after 7 PM on an exceptionally warm and humid summer evening. The temperature and humidity in the restaurant were relatively uncomfortable, likely at least 78° and possibly higher. Every now and then some cool air came out of the vents so I suspect this was not an air conditioning problem for the restaurant. More likely, they chose to keep it warm. No bueno. I’d return for another meal, but if it’s a warm night, I’ll be looking elsewhere.

Dear rds9, thank you for dining with us. I am sorry about the temperature, and I assure you in all honestly, there is NO WAY we would willfully keep the temperature at an uncomfortable level. One of our building's three AC units broke that day and the domino effect led to the dining room unit laboring harder than normal. We are back up and running. Hosted a small gathering in a cabana. Service was amazing. Scallops and Tripletail were delicious. The new “pick a fish, sauce and 2 sides” is a welcome addition. Thanks for putting it on the menu!

Everything was super Fresh and delicious. We ordered mahi mahi with pineapple mango salsa — amazing ! My boyfriend has blackened salmon. Let’s not forget the sides of yellow rice, veggies ( perfectly mandolin sliced) and mashed cauliflower. Everything was delicious. Steamers came with the most delicious and flavorful broth. Best I’ve ever had. Honey drizzled burrata and crab- simply delicious . Ring ding dessert was very good as was the salted caramel gelato.
