It was "St. Practice Day" vs St Patrick's Day and so there were a lot of pub crawlers but still, the noise eating outside was not bad at all. And it's such great ambiance looking the river. I had Grouper Oscar and the fish was perfect. The asparagus was overcooked but no big deal. A little crab on top was tasty. I asked for grits instead of mashed potatoes and they accommodated. Praline cheesecake was very good. Super nice dinner. Our waitress was very friendly and came by often. The host got us seated outside which we appreciated. We would go back again!

We had a great time and our food was excellent except for my husband’s blackened tune. He said it was very under seasoned. Really wasn’t blackened. The rest of our meals were great!

The food and service were excellent. I enjoyed the blackened flounder, and my wife had the crispy fried catfish, both of which were excellent. The only complaint we had at all about the food was that the desserts were very small portions. The noise level of the restaurant was a little excessive in general. However, they had a live performance by a violinist that was very enjoyable.

We had a wonderful lunch! We started with a Bloody Mary and a peach margarita along with our crab cake! Lunch was a lobster/shrimp roll and fried shrimp platter. Good and drinks were excellent! Our server, Carly was fun, helpful and efficient! Would definitely go again when in Savannah!

The food was mediocre. We both had fish dishes and the fish was overcooked and very dry. One dish came with tortellini and it was tasteless. I gave the meal a 3 because I didn’t want to give it a one, but it deserved a one.

Great food! I had the lobster ravioli and my friend had the bourbon-pecan salmon. Both were delicious. Amber was our server and provided excellent service. I’ll eat here when I’m back in Savannah again.

Great restaurant offering a great seafood menu. Top notch service. Drinks are good , but a little pricey. Service was outstanding. Located on River street on ground floor of Hilton Cotton Sail hotel. Food prices are reasonable, deserts outstanding. Great bar scene.

Every aspect of our meal at the River House restaurant was wonderful. My husband had the fried green tomatoes and the crab cakes, I had the pecan bourbon salmon. We were both very pleased with our choices. Despite all the restaurant choices in Savannah, we’ll definitely return to River House again (and again)!

Our party of 4 highly recommend the following: fried green tomatoes, crab bisque, crab cakes (meal and appetizer), pork chop, seafood mac n cheese, fried catfish, key lime pie, and peach cobbler. 10/10 For an extra bonus, ask to be seated in Lesli’s section.
