Situé en face d'une rivière, le restaurant et bar à aliments crus River House est une destination de choix à Louisville. Il est géré par le chef et restaurateur primé John Varanese et peut accueillir 330 convives dans sa salle à manger principale et son bar à aliments crus, ainsi que sur sa terrasse. Vous vous sentirez comme à la maison après avoir franchi la terrasse couverte du jardin. Vous traverserez un mur d'eau de 6 mètres de haut et de 12 mètres de large avant de découvrir la décoration intimiste et la baie vitrée qui donne sur la cour arrière et la rivière. Le River House est ouvert 7 jours par semaine pour le dîner et le souper. Le menu se compose d'une cuisine régionale avec une touche du Sud et une préférence pour les fruits de mer frais. Vous pourrez notamment y déguster des huîtres grillées en demi-coquille, des côtes de bœuf braisées au barbecue et du saumon fumé aux copeaux de baril de bourbon Maker’s Mark. The food was phenomenal. Our group of 4 had scallops, mussels, shrimp, oysters and steak. Everything was gear. Quentin was our sever and did a great job!

Considerably overpriced for what you get. Service and location were good but that’s where it ended. Food and drinks were not worthy of the rating.

Honestly, this is one of our favorite places to go in Louisville and for most of the year we come there at least once a month. It was incredibly disappointing this time from the time we sat down until the time our lunch showed up there were seven independent mistakes that were made We really didn’t say anything until we were asked, and when we then asked for the items we had requested we were met with a bit of attitude from the manager. We asked for extra pico de gallo and sour cream. The sour cream only arrived after we had asked for an additional two times and when it did arrive, they were finished with their meal. I asked for a salad and I was given fried green tomatoes on the side no salad. Everyone ordered a second drink, but none of them came, and my water routinely went unfilled Perhaps it was the server’s first day or he was having a bad day… We understand that and left a 20% tip regardless. My concern is more that when the manager intervened and started delivering our food because things were going so poorly and we asked for The sour cream it seemed as though she had lost patience with us and was very hurt from that point on.

We always take first time guests to Louisville to the River House for a perfect dining experience! They worked to get us the table on the patio that we wanted and did so with a smile, even though it inconvenienced them. Service was outstanding and the food is always good. Beautiful night for dining outside at a great restaurant.

We responded to a special surf & turf promotion. The food was well prepared; however, the mashed potatoes could have been warmer when served.

Excellent service by RAJ. Delish food. The seasonal squash blossoms were Devine. Grouper cheeks & shrimp cooked to perfection. Devine cocktails & a great view.

Reserved a table for 8-10. Once I arrive we requested outside. They provide a table for 6. Management informed us that we could not but tables together to accommodate. I mentioned they accepted the reservation for 8-10. We eventually were sat with additional chairs around the table. Not happy with how it was handled. We did enjoy the good and the service was exceptional.
