Situé en face d'une rivière, le restaurant et bar à aliments crus River House est une destination de choix à Louisville. Il est géré par le chef et restaurateur primé John Varanese et peut accueillir 330 convives dans sa salle à manger principale et son bar à aliments crus, ainsi que sur sa terrasse. Vous vous sentirez comme à la maison après avoir franchi la terrasse couverte du jardin. Vous traverserez un mur d'eau de 6 mètres de haut et de 12 mètres de large avant de découvrir la décoration intimiste et la baie vitrée qui donne sur la cour arrière et la rivière. Le River House est ouvert 7 jours par semaine pour le dîner et le souper. Le menu se compose d'une cuisine régionale avec une touche du Sud et une préférence pour les fruits de mer frais. Vous pourrez notamment y déguster des huîtres grillées en demi-coquille, des côtes de bœuf braisées au barbecue et du saumon fumé aux copeaux de baril de bourbon Maker’s Mark. We always take first time guests to Louisville to the River House for a perfect dining experience! They worked to get us the table on the patio that we wanted and did so with a smile, even though it inconvenienced them. Service was outstanding and the food is always good. Beautiful night for dining outside at a great restaurant.

We responded to a special surf & turf promotion. The food was well prepared; however, the mashed potatoes could have been warmer when served.

Excellent service by RAJ. Delish food. The seasonal squash blossoms were Devine. Grouper cheeks & shrimp cooked to perfection. Devine cocktails & a great view.

Reserved a table for 8-10. Once I arrive we requested outside. They provide a table for 6. Management informed us that we could not but tables together to accommodate. I mentioned they accepted the reservation for 8-10. We eventually were sat with additional chairs around the table. Not happy with how it was handled. We did enjoy the good and the service was exceptional.

our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. He was flexible as my guests asked to change things on the menu. The view was beautiful. A great experience!

Great food and service. A little pricey. The seafood poboy was a bit lackluster but the rest of the food was very good. The Mango Margarita was good.

The seafood platter was delicious, the cornbread was incredible and my smoked old fashion was exceptional!!! I ordered the bread pudding was less exciting This is my 3rd visit and I'll be back!!!

We looked forward to this dinner as out of town visitors. It was a nice setting by the river, a little ways from downtown. Big, open space with a lot of seating, including firepits outside overlooking the river. Hostess was a but rude and not welcoming at all. Our server was very accommodating and explained a lot about Louisville history which was awesome ( forgot his name , though ). The food was pretty underwhelming, however. Charcuterie was very reasonable at $9 but presentation was thrown on a slab and it looked terrible. Meats were tasty. Fried green tomatoes were cold and so was the seafood platter we split. Oysters were good. I think it was ok for the price, but in hindsight our server asked us how to course it and we said, " however it comes out," Should have let him course it for an improved experience. Overall, it was a nice setting with excellent table service and okay food.
