We are located in the middle of Prince's Island Park and we are accessed on foot via one of four bridges or causeways. Parking is available on street in the Eau Claire area, underground at Eau Claire Market for a flat fee of $3 on weekends and evenings, or across from Memorial Drive. We look forward to welcoming you soon. Should your plans change, please let us know.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Le River Café est à l'avant-garde du mouvement de restauration locavore depuis 1991. Situé dans le parc pittoresque de Prince Island, au bord de la rivière Bow, le décor rustique et le menu du restaurant s'inspirent de la nature environnante. The River Cafe is an iconic choice for a memorable evening or lunch that takes you away from the bustling downtown vibe to a hunting type lodge with a five star feel. Food was a chef special five course event that was timed in a relaxed manner, each . Each course was fantastic with many different tastes and all made us comment that one could make a meal of this! Portions were perfect so to enjoy and satisfy. Felt we eat healthy while spoiling our palettes! Good wine was available at a fair price,so not the case in many 5 star restaurants. What a gem in the heart of Calgary.

It was a most wonderful lunch with a very dear friend! It was a celebration lunch of friendship and also the retirement of my surgical oncologist who I was going to one last time before he is done on December 23rd. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate that than at the River Cafe!! I had the Flank Steak and my friend had the burger and they were both truly exceptional!! The steak just melted in my mouth and the accompaniments were perfect! The burger was scrumptious…complete with juices running down your fingers as you ate it, as every good burger should be! We didn’t have room for dessert but a delicious cappuccino was still in order! It truly is a magical place to be…wonderful atmosphere, attentive & friendly staff and always mouth watering food!!

A Calgary icon that never disappoints. Service is excellent, attentive, and friendly. While on the pricier side, the food is excellent. Dessert was OK compared to the outstanding mains. Would always recommend a visit to travellers to Calgary.

Service was wonderful, cocktails delicious. The Haida Gwaii halibut was super fishy, we couldn’t eat it. Pancakes and eggs benny with mushrooms were good. Won’t rush back but our server really was helpful and sweet.

We've been going to River Cafe for awhile now and it has always been our favorite restaurant. We went recently for my partner's birthday and notice the quality, taste and presentation of food is so much different than what it was before. The service and experience has been exceptional tho.

Amazing experience. It is a very unique restaurant and I recommand it to everyone. The food is amazing and the price was reasonable.

Always great. The River Cafe has consistently impresses me every time I go there. Food is excellent and the service is always spot on. Has been a gem for so many years.

An outstanding tasting menu, with outstanding wine pairings, and outstanding service. Well worth the frigid walk in inappropriate dress and footwear! Best tartare we’ve ever had, and the pirogies were to die for.
