The restaurant and bathrooms are gorgeous and clean. The menu is extensive and diverse. Food portions are generous and served hot. The waiters appear to be mature and longtime employees of the restaurant. Our waiter was younger and seemed inexperienced but we were patient and got through the meal.

Enjoyed food and ambience. Very convenient location. The owner was quite charming and engaging. Papardelle Presidente was exceptional!

Great little place tucked into a perfect location. Wonderful service, tremendous ambience, outstanding food, and an overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Meh. Food was okay, not a great value. Wine list lacked by local standards (we also ate at Cafe Milano and Blue Duck Tavern - both had significantly deeper wine lists). Not hurrying to go back given all the other options in Foggy Bottom, West End and Georgetown.

We live right opposite the building..so easy to get to this very traditional italian eatery. It's a typical italian restaurant with somewhat gaudy decor and a very extensive menu. My shrimp dish smelled/tasted as if it was washed with chlorine for some reason. But overall was good dinner

One issue with the server was confusion over the drink order (ordered a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary and was given two glasses instead). When we mentioned it, he said a second round of glasses would be cheaper than a bottle (which ended up not being the case).

Food was very tasty. Lasagna and veal parmesan were excellent. Service was ok, but poor communication created issues. For example, I know DC is very expensive, but I was charged $5.50 for a small, skinny glass of iced tea. When I got a refill, I was charged another $5.50. The no refill policy was not in the menu or communicated to me. When I received the bill, I was surprised and asked about the charge. The server apologized and went to speak with the owner/manager, who loudly told the server that there were no refills - even on fountain drinks. Ultimately the server made it right, but the owner/manager certainly did not. Also had very loud Italian opera playing. OK if that’s your thing, but it wasn’t mine.
