Ristorante Del Lago crafts fragrant wood fired pizzas, a selection of meats off the rotisserie, and pasta made fresh in-house daily. The aging room also boasts authentic salumi and formaggio imported straight from Italy. Freshly made cannoli and homemade gelato are the most delightful way to conclude your meal.

Envisioned by renowned designer Adam D. Tihany and inspired by the finest culinary regions of Italy, Ristorante del Lago offers a lively and authentic dining experience at The Broadmoor. An enticing menu of Old World favorites combined with the restaurant’s timeless ambiance offers the ideal setting to dine with friends or making new ones.

The food is adequate but not "real" Italian, especially for the prices. The pomodoro pasta had a very heavy sauce and this dish in Tuscany has a light, beautiful basil and fresh tomato base that doesn't overwhelm. There were exactly 5 clams in the clam linquini dish, which is a bit stingy. The tiramisu was loaded with a heavy whipped cream on top which is never typical of a traditional tiramisu in Italy. Overall, the service was excellent, if a bit annoying since we just wanted to linger and enjoy each course...our server wanted to make sure we were ordering the next course. But the view of the lake was lovely, and we enjoyed our time.

I traveled quite a bit for work often times difficult to find a decent restaurant where the food equals the price. You would think at a five star resort prices would be astronomical, and the food and service would be subpar. That was not the case at Del Lago! The food was absolutely absolutely fantastic. The appetizers we had were the prosciutto with melin absolutely incredible. We also had some beets with fresh mozzarella that was out of this world! I had a homemade ravioli with veal Ragu that was fantastic. Felt like I was in Italy eating five star restaurant in Florence. The wine list was absolutely fantastic not pedestrian with wines from all over Italy that represented the menu choices. The Sommelier was fantastic. She knew the wine list I was able to recommend a wonderful bottle of Montepulciano d’ Abruzzo. Our server was absolutely amazing. Genuinely a caring and sincere person that wanted us to have the best possible experience. If you’re ever at the Broadmoor are in Colorado Springs naked point to visit Del Lago!!

It’s an average Italian restaurant. Dish choices are are ok. Beet salad was good. Chick pea croquettes were a disappointment. That should not be on a menu. I had spaghetti vongole. This is spaghetti with clams in olive oil and garlic. The dish had 6 miniature clams. Very disappointing. The floritina pizza was not good. Gluten free crust was very good. Overall the restaurant doesn’t meet the standards I would expect for a Broadmoor property restaurant.

Very noisy—hard to have a conversation across the table. Food was good—much what you would expect from the Broadmoor. The bar was closed for a private event and table was not ready when we arrived so we had to leave with nowhere to get a cocktail while we waited (15 -20 min). Service was inconsistent and mgr was a little impertinent when we discussed with him.

Very nice! Food was so tasty and our server Megan is a delight. The property is over the top. It was special to us as my in laws had honeymooned there over 70 years ago... and it was my husband's birthday was that day! So rich in history!

I had the absolute best experience here for my birthday dinner. My friend and I have severe gluten allergies, and I also have nut allergies. I added that note in my reservation and that I was celebrating my birthday. When we got there, the hosts confirmed our diet restrictions and our server even confirmed them again when we were seated. All the pasta and pizza dishes were available gluten free. They even brought us complimentary GF bread! Our server Megan was so sweet and extremely knowledgeable of the ingredients of everything, which really meant a lot to me and my friend. She told us about the GF dessert options, which were INCREDIBLE. And I got mine for free as a birthday treat! I couldn’t have picked a better place for a special occasion. All the staff we encountered were friendly, and the view of the Broadmoor lake was stunning. I would absolutely recommend for anyone with dietary restrictions who want to have an elegant night out.
