Excellent dinner, great service, lovely restaurant - and it was open on a Sunday evening, unlike most of Zagreb! Very impressed. Delicious food, friendly service, very good value. Highly recommend.

We decided to try this based on a 4.9 rating I saw on OT. I honestly don’t understand what the hype was about at all. It was fresh and tasted good but at best a 3.5. I got the chix salad. Chix was dark meat. That meal was ok. Got a burger and it was good. French fries seemed odd. It was not bad but it also was nothing special. Perhaps the 4.9 rating set my expectations very high. The waiter said he wanted to give us this paprika sauce, which makes everything taste good. When we got the bill he actually charged us for it! We just let it go - paid the bill and left.

Great food and atmosphere! Good selection of wines from all over the world. Best dish was the smoked duck. The stuff was also super helpful. Totally recommend it

U Batak se ide na provjerenu i dobru hranu, bez puno dvojbe. Nažalost ovaj put je hrana nekako otišla u drugi plan. Dok je osoblje bilo ljubazno i uslužno, tipično za Batak (zato se stalno i vraćamo, uz dakako ukusnu hranu), losos salata je bila ozbiljno loša. Ne znam da li je gužva bila u pitanju (iako je u tipično gužvovitih 14 h tek 70ak % restorana bilo popunjeno), ali nakon pristojnog čekanja hrane salata na stol stiže u znatno manjoj količini no inače (prvi put da nam “normativ” toliko odstupa), losos je stravično prepečen, tamno smeđe boje i HLADAN! Na prvi zalogaj je supruga dobro ogrebala sluznicu u ustima jer je losos bio tvrd i nemoguć za žvakanje… Ne želim ulaziti u detalje kako i zašto iako imam dovoljno iskustva u pripremanju kososa da i sam imam par teorija, ali o tome bi brigu trebalo voditi osoblje koje je zaduženo za kvalitetu. Iskreno se nadam da je ovo bila iznimka i da će Batak unatoč svim izazovima ostati ono mjesto gdje si s hranom i uslugom uvijek “zicer” i gdje se uvijek rado vraćas neovisno o prigodi.

Everything was more than great. Our table was in a quiet place. Our waiter Edvin, later Marko, was also great. Food was delicious, as always. We can’t wait to come here again - because of yummy food and because of extremly professional waiters. Thanks for making my birthday so special 💜

I am glad to see that high-standard type of restaurant like Batak is introducing modern booking approach. From booking ‘till we finish our dinner everything was spot on. Ambience, staff, food top notch! Will be back.
