Meat more fatty than i was expected. Order of food was delivered with not organized manner. A little bit expensive… service from waitress was ontime after bell ring

Excellent food. Great service. Poor value for two people. Baek Jong’s menu does not allow a single serving of meat/bbq dishes. You must order two serving, so the amount charged for meat is double - the price on the menu is misleading. This odd policy limits the variety of food one can order for 2 or 3 people. Meal can become heavy on meat, and not much other variety can be ordered without the meal being very costly for two people. Clearly the server has had comments about it from the customers as they made sure we understood how this system works, three times! Yuk gae jang food was mostly authentic! The main dishes had great flavour and some dishes had a bite to it that is sometimes missing from other Korean restaurant based in Canada - their food tends to be bland. Not Baek Jong. But, ironically the Kimchi, one of the staple side dish, was mild. While the food was very tasty, considering we paid $50 for bulgogi, there was not a lot of meat. So the meat bbq portions are small. Also, there is no rice provided with the meat. So we got one small bowl (125mg) of rice for the entire meal for two people. We had to order more rice. Similar to most traditional Korean meal, the meal does come with several side dishes such as kimchi, bean sprout salad, salad(more western), lettuce for wrap… and 1 small bowl of rice for two people(did I mention this already?). I would consider the value to be poor for two people, and overall value to be mediocre. But the service was great, as was the food and the atmosphere. This is a better restaurant for groups of 4 to 6 people.

We've ordered the Father's day menu for 4 people. My comment is they only served 1 piece of small cut cake as dessert which I don't think that's good enough for 4 people. I would recommend to serve a scoop of ice cream for each would be more impressive. When we settle the bill, the server didn't serve Yakult as sweet which we got last time. The service was good, yet not as good as our previous visit.

Good as always but expensive, love coming here but hurts the wallet every time, super surprised I didn’t get a small something due to my being my birthday that was on the reservation but that’s ok
