    Our first experience was super good with Kost. We went there again last night but the vibe was off. And what’s up with plasticware for expensive drinks? Ruins the whole vibe. Please bring back the proper glassware.

    The venue and and vibe is next to none. Loved the service. My only issue is there were limited options for vegans.

    Great experience overall in the outdoor seating, but a couple of distractions from being perfect - the wine glass was/looked dirty.. from my experience (i.e. could be something else) it looked like dishwasher stains.. which threw me off. I usually don't get back to the servers so I just used it. It was a plastic glass(?), I assume it's their protocol with the pool outdoors, so it might be hard to clean? But the white cloudy stains were showing up on photos so it was a little disturbing. The table was wobbly :( I later put down a folded napkin underneath to stabilize it but it was a little distracting throughout. All things I wouldn't mind as much if the price tags on things were different. But overall happy with the experience, food was good (portions are small for me, as usual ha), drinks were good, atmosphere/view better than we had thought (and that was the main reason for the pick of this restaurant). I would say go for it once at least, but twice during a short time may be a no for me.

    I had such a great time at Kost last evening. I was at a different restaurant and my friend and I who were waiting for our other friend looked to arrive. We looked at the menu and said...NAH! I went on OpenTable and saw that there was an availability for 6pm at KOST. I booked it and we left. My friends asked me "where should we go?' and I said I know a great place. We waited outside for our friend who had to make a detour in her UBER. We went upstairs and we were seated quickly. I wasn't expecting there to be any openings last night, much less a table out on the patio. I was pleasantly surprised. My friends absolutely loved KOST! They had no idea such a place existed in Toronto. They are avid, frequent travelers. While we were waiting a gentleman downstairs told us to try the fries with the aioli dip and that the salmon was really good. He also mentioned that since it was their first time that the cook staff would write something nice on our dessert plate! ZARA our server, was great. She is lovely and was gracious and kind and friendly. The 3 of us ordered the same thing; the salmon! The potatoes and carrots were cooked perfectly and the glaze around the plate was lovely. My friends were so impressed with the food, they talked about it all evening. We realized our fries did not come before our food did. Which was fine, so we received our fries and were eating them with our food. Then it came time to order dessert. We wanted to split it 3 ways, so we chose the Ferrero Rocher cake. To our delight, Zara said that we were going to receive that cake complimentary because the fries came late! We were thrilled, and then my friend asked if they could write something on it and she said it's already in the works!!! I mean come on!! what more could we ask for? We also ordered the cheesecake slice which was so delicious. It was such a perfect evening. I will be back again soon. We also saw actor Matthew Modine, come out of the elevator as we were leaving!! 10/10
