   The food, service and ambiance were all excellent! Perfect spot for the best food, service, location, ambiance etc. It's the whole package for a perfect dining experience. I sincerely thank everyone that puts in the effort to make this my favorite restaurant in Ottawa.

   Incredible. We did the 5 course tasting meal. It was perfect. Every dish unique. Flavors and combos I could never imagine so beautifully prepared and presented.

   Restaurant e18hteen has become a favourite over the last few years. We are never disappointed. Last night was no exception. We had a party of 8. Each of us ordered various hand-crafted cocktails. All of them were delicious. The waitress (forgive me, I don't remember her name, she looked like Jennifer Connelly though) was very attentive, smart witty banter and made our overall experience even better. The food: from the oysters, to the steak, to the risotto to the creme brulee, all of them delightfully plated and tasted like perfection. We all enjoyed it.

   Service très bien. Nourriture très ordinaire. Poisson et légumes beaucoup trop cuits.

   Overrated. The quality of the food is good, though my husband's steak was medium rare instead of rare, the service however was mediocre at best. The jaded waiter clearly couldn't be happier to finish his midweek shift. He didn't offer us to try our wine before serving the full glass, and he set the cutlery down as if he was dreading coming in to work. The wait time for food was very short, though on a Wednesday I would hope so.

   Absolutely phenomenal in every aspect. The service was like no other. There was a mishap between the kitchen and the manager with our food; the way they rectified it was beyond satisfactory. Absolutely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a romantic, quiet and phenomenal dinner experience. They took my dietary restrictions extreamly serious which was very appreciated.

    What a disappointment last night. We clearly informed the restaurant about my wife's gluten and dairy allergies. As well we indicated that subbing cow cheese with goat cheese would be great. Upon arrival our waitress told us she had read the notes and was aware. Much to our surprise, they served her a beet salad....with cow cheese!! Later that evening she became ill as a result. But that wasn't the worst of it. We waited 1 hr and 15 minutes for our main meals. Leading up to that moment they also forgot to serve her gluten free bread, which was store bought and like cardboard. That was 20 minutes after I had finished mine. At this point we had had enough of this atrocious experience. Rather than wait longer, we spoke with both the waitress and maitre'd and asked for our bill. They both lied and told us it would be ready in 2 minutes. Ten minutes later, they showed up with it as we were in the process of leaving and had our coats on. We agreed to sit back down and try the mains. My wife had a sablefish meal that was flavourless and not fresh to say the least. I had a lobster tail meal whereby the lobster was watery and not fresh. Needless to say 1 bite of each meal and the coats were back on and we were settling our reduced bill and leaving. What a disappointment for our special Valentines outing. Never will we go back, and I advise people to do the same.
