We have frequented this restaurant on many special occasions and we feel it desperately needs a menu update. Dishes were basic and uninspiring reflecting low skill level at this price point. Same view of the wine list. Fantastic location and ambiance but that is about it. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Beef was disappointing : tartare was overly salty ; filet was tough; strip loin steak Was chewy and lukewarm Duck was excellent

Cassandra was perfect. She made us feel at home right away and knew how to respond in the moment with quick wit and responses while at the same time be ing incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and recommendations. Great night!!

Hanna,our waiter, was outstanding. Paying attention but not intrusively. Asking how our appetizers tasted, the scallop ceviche was spot on, however my steak tartar was just way too salty! (Why is it most restaurants inundate food with sooooo much salt? I guess that’s how most like it… how can you even taste the food?) She immediately wanted to have a new plate made, Haven already eaten 1/4 I suggested she get only half a portion. Now THAT was spot on. Being able to taste the meat flavour. It is after all a steak place. The rest of the meal was very good, the duck a nice medium rare and the lion’s main risotto was also good. Not outstanding but good. All in all an excellent evening with great service.

Really enjoyed being served with etiquette in mind. It's a rare thing nowadays. The only suggestion would be to add at least another main choice for vegetarian.

My sons graduation dinner. I believe that was our best meal in Ottawa since many years. Service was excellent. Halibut prepared perfectly and the tenderloin was just out of this world. Will be back for sure.

Nice restaurant with few choices of meat and seafood. Firstly I have to mention the absence of parking. I had to park in a public garage at some distance. Secondly our 2 first choices of wine were out of stock . We chose a More expensive one. My wife had the seafood tower ($99) which was nicely presented but crab quantity was minimal to say the least (2 small crab legs..no clusters). I had the 7 oz tenderloin ...well cooked but again minimal at a cost of $72. Overall expensive for average food.
