Restaurants à Cranleigh

Great good with a good choice although not overly extensive menu. On the downside it was very quiet (absolutely not the pub’s fault) but just meant there was no atmosphere. It was also cold and I wished I’d worn something warmer as did our friends!

We went as a table of 6 for a birthday celebration. The staff were great - so attentive and the food was very good (very hot, fresh and timely). They even brought out something for the birthday girl. I 100% recommend this place for any type of occasion and definitely will be going back soon.

We visited for Sunday lunch with friends - the roast pork and the roast beef were excellent, as was the bottomless veg and gravy. The service was also exceptional. This was our first visit to the Red Lion, but we will definitely be back.

First visit whilst staying near Billingshurst. Lovely welcome, great ambiance. We had 3 courses which is unusual because we enjoyed the starter & mains so much we chose a pudding too, it was the apple tart & it was a WOW desert. Husband enjoyed the Firebird ale & I had zero lager, we thought the menu choice was perfect & equally good choice of wines & other drinks. We would thoroughly recommend. It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you

Just personal comments on our choice of food - the terrine starter of parma ham and chicken was too dry and therefore quite difficult to eat. It was also accompanied by dry, very crispy toasted bread. It needed maybe a mayonnaise or some moisture! In contrast the mushroom and leek risotto was excellent - nicely presented and delicious.
