Restaurants à Brancaster Staithe

We visited Nest Farmhouse for my son’s birthday lunch. Everything was beautifully thought out, the setting in the heart of the countryside, the decor and the food which was fantastic. I thought the three/two course set lunch menu was very good value. I am partially deaf and often struggle to hear in restaurants but this wasn’t a problem. Waiting staff were very pleasant and efficient too. A great experience all round.

The first time we have eaten here although it’s a favourite of many people we know. We had a lovely table in the restaurant by the window for an early lunch on a Friday. It was initially quiet but filled up and there was a relaxed ambience I had Coley with a seafood gravy, which was new to the menu that day. It was absolutely delicious and the buttered greens I chose were a great accompaniment. My partner had the dressed crab and rated it very highly. He loves crab. We will be back

I booked a meal here for my partners birthday. We are local to Norfolk but just fancied getting away for a night to the country. We stayed overnight in one the rooms available at the Duck. (I reviewed this positively on AirBNB). The restaurant has a lovely buzz to it with a hard working attentive team. There was some excellent advice on the wine which we took and had an excellent bottle of red with our meal. The food was lovely, it was tasty and really had that fresh vibrant feel to all the ingredients. Really excellent meal. We'll definitely get back there for a roast following a windy walk in the autumn.

Had a fabulous meal last night. Crab salad was delicious - home made bread to die for - special shout out to Joe for that. It was burger night & my husband said the chicken burger was excellent. Lemon posset with homemade shortbread & Albion cake for afters 😋. The evening was very enjoyable as Kerry, Marc & I wish I could remember her name were all superb in the restaurant/bar. So friendly, pleasant, fun & efficient - you don’t see it that often these days but these made it a really pleasure to be there. Won’t hesitate to return when in the area again & would definitely recommend.

We were given the choice of our reserved table inside or a table in the garden where we could watch and enjoy Nelson’s Shantymen. We chose to sit outside and the evening was great. Thank you.
