Opening in 1939, The Regency Room has remained at the heart of the Roanoke social and cultural experience. The restaurant, under the direction of Executive Chef Michael Whittaker, features French-inspired Southern cuisine and is open year-round, including holidays.     Once again my dining experience at The Regency Room at the Hotel Roanoke exceeded my expectations. Lowell the Maitre d greeted me with a warm welcome and Happy Birthday greetings, taking me to a wonderful located table, where I was able to enjoy my meal and the Jazz Trio Entertainment who played the Aladdin theme song which I had requested they prepare last time I dined here. Again, excellent customer service from my server and all my previous servers made sure to visit my table to wish me a Happy Birthday. My favorite dinner item, the Filet, was quality meat cooked just as requested. All in all, an extraordinary dining experience and a one of a kind Birthday meal and Cheesecake Birthday cake.

    Our server, Bobby, was a gracious host. We enjoyed the live piano accompaniment. The food was great as well

    It's wonderful. My mom had dietary restrictions, which they handled beautifully. And my dad has dementia, so he doesn't have the greatest table manners, but server Brittany handled it all with grace and hospitality. It was a lovely evening.

    The Regency Room provided a wonderful ambiance to be able to enjoy an exquisite dinner. The Maitre d greeted me warmly as a member of the Dogwood Club which I am and took me to the table I had requested near the Jazz Trio Entertainment. My server Brittany explained the special item of the day and took my order very efficiently. She served me a complimentary appetizer named Amuse Bouche which had brie cheese as one of its ingredients. Then I had a Bowl of She Crab soup, and a Filet Mignon, with a Key Lime Cheesecake for dessert. The Jazz Trio played the theme song for the movie Aladdin which I had requested last time I ate here. Again, I had an amazing dining experience as a result of the wonderful staff providing exceptional customer service and cooks providing amazing culinary masterpieces. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

    Ben knows his stuff. Very helpful in recommendations. Stayed on top of thigs and with Jessica checking on us also we will be back sooner than later. They both did an outstanding job

    Wonderful experience, loved the live jazz band. Our waiter was lovely. We ordered drinks, oysters, and a charcuterie board.

    Service was impeccable, the food was fabulous, and the atmosphere was nostalgic! There is a wonderful band and a dance floor so you can enjoy amazing food, and lovely conversation, and watch (or join) in an old tradition of dinner and dancing that is sadly lost in so many parts of the U.S.

    best restaurant in Roanoke period, quality competitive with major US cities. Food was very clean, not all sauced up. Crab cakes a standout, almost baseball size all meat $18 best quality/value combo if your a cc fan and snob.
