Fabulous food and service. Loved the crudo and bucatini as 1st courses...pork chop excellent, with greens, pear and nuts. Rich hot coffee and gallette for dessert...so yummy. Perfect temperature for each course. Super attentive service and wonderfully friendly servers, hosts and staff. Easy valet.

A confirmed reservation for standard seating was carelessly overlooked when the manager insisted the reservation was under lounge seating—even with clear proof under my Opentable email couldn’t change that stance. While the misstep in seating compromised the start of my evening, the excellence of the food managed to salvage the night. Thus, with mixed feelings, I leave a three-star review as a reminder that even a promising dining experience can be diminished by a failure to honor simple commitments.

I'm so happy this restaurant exists. Such charming, creative decor/styling offering a nice, intimate dining experience in the lounge and the restaurant. The dishes are very delicious and flavorful. The service is warm, welcoming, and attentive. Our server Gregorio was wonderful and he always seemed to appear at the table at just the right time. He made our meal even more perfect with perfect suggestions and impeccable timing.

What a wonderful meal! Grown up, elegant, service forward. Really a perfect experience on every level. Was my birthday dinner and I was so happy to be dining at Redbird! Very special, indeed.

Our waitress, Emily went above and beyond to make sure that we had full understanding of the menu and helped us navigate different cocktail and food pairings to make our night extremely special. They pay attention to the little things, such as hearing that we were celebrating a small special occasion, and starting our night off with complementary champagne . What a wonderful experience from start to . As a business owner myself, I hope that my clientele feel as well taken care of as we did as guests at the Redbird .

Cool place. Food was average but not worth the price. Valet is $15 during the day. That’s a bit much for dtla. Staff was very nice. Had the fried egg sandwich. Not great. And the short rib with egg, that was ok.

Red Bird is one of the best restaurants in Downtown LA, and a standout spot for weekend brunch.

The yam side dish was undercooked slightly. The yams needed another few minutes. They were still very firm. Otherwise everything was great.

Horrible GM in a vest at the front desk threw our entire experience off. Lovely maitre d was obviously embarrassed by her behavior. I had booked for outside which is lovely for brunch and they kept us waiting even though I had a small child and tried to stick us in the lounge. I showed them that I had booked on open table for the main dining room. The nasty delivery on this woman who took great pleasure in telling us that when we changed the number of seats it put us in the lounge. I explained that we had schlepped downtown for an hour even though there was outdoor festival with street closures that made the restaurant barely accessible and we would wait for the main room. You know when someone’s delivery and nastiness makes the difference between a good experience or bad. This lady was zero sympathy zero kindness just totally cold. I used to come here all the time and am never going back. They could have been kinder especially since the restaurant had several empty seats and tables in both areas. Too bad because the waiters were lovely.
