Staff could be bettet at telling guests of the dished on the menu. Marcus is so creative so we expect an exciting evening with awsome flavours which might be difficult to find for some.

I had high expectations coming to this place. I ordered the catfish with black eyed peas and mac and cheese. The catfish was fried but not really seasoned. The black eyed peas were stewed and tasted like it was stewed in tomato sauce, not a fan. The mac and cheese was good. It was cheesy but not seasoned. The cornbread was delicious. The deviled eggs were good as well. However, why mention the hummus if it was a regular deviled egg with hummus on the bottom of the dish. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was dry but the hot honey dipping sauce was good. The waffles was good. My friends meals were ok. However, my friend specifically asked the waiter if the meat for chicken sandwich was white meat and waiter told us yes but it was not. My other friend had the seafood pasta which he liked. He mentioned that it would be better if they used a thinner pasta. The live jazz band was nice and added to the ambience. The other qualm I had was when calling the restaurant, no one ever answered. I even left a voicemail with no return so customer service was not the best.

We dined at Red Rooster after hearing about it being a must visit. The staff was very friendly and welcoming upon arrival and we were seated immediately. Our server was helpful and patient when suggesting menu items. Half of my party had their pasta dish which they said was delicious, while I ate their lobster roll. It was ok but be aware that it’s small, which was just enough food for me, but don’t expect a large portion if you decide to order. Not sure if it’s daily or just on Sundays, but we also got to enjoy music from a jazz band and they were great musicians! Overall a fun dinner.

I needed to push back my reservation and they were very accommodating. Food was good. We were seated next to the kitchen so the ambiance was organized chaos.

Good place with good food at a reasonable price… the people are great with a shout out to Afreny for the wonderful service! Arguably some of the best fried chicken at a non-fast food restaurant in NYC…

The food was amazing as always and me and my guest enjoyed the chicken and waffles, burger, red pina colada and cornbread.

I love the Red Rooster! I haven’t been since COVID and to finally come back to New York and eat there& I was sat at my old table. A lot changed due to the pandemic but I was very excited/ grateful things were still the same from the amazing tasting food to the out of the world customer service definitely the highlight of me coming back to New York!

The only and I mean only compliant is that there was too much bacon and/or pork on things that didn't need it.

We enjoyed but don’t need to go back. The food was good - but nothing special. I personally ordered the lobster roll and it was drenched in mayonnaise. Too much. We ordered the chicken and waffle appetizer- it was very good. My partner ordered the catfish and he said it was very good. I loved the vibe with the live jazz ensemble and of course all the art is spectacular.
