Rats never disappoints. Eating outside in such a lovely setting is magical. The food was exceptional. Drinks and wine were great. Service was great. Rats is a gem in Hamilton.

Rats was a beautifully themed restaurant! I felt like I had stepped into a French painting ! The food was delicious and the service adorable! They had my anniversary celebration very special!

Hostess did not greet us when we came in, instead just stared at us until we said something. We showed up about eight minutes early for our reservation, and we were told very gruffly to wait until our reservation to be seated, even though the restaurant was not full, and other people were getting seated immediately. Once we were seated, we got our appetizers and had to wait for a while before we got silverware to eat it with. By the way, cheese board is $29 and absolutely awful. Not worth the price at all. Our meals were good, but nothing to write home about or set the food at this restaurant apart from anywhere else. Overall, this restaurant had really really weird vibes from the staff. Really pretty ambience, almost makes you feel like you’re in a different country, but besides that absolutely not worth the trip.

The lunch menu was uninspiring. But the food was good. We were very disappointed that there was no bread pudding for dessert since we heard so much about it. We felt very rushed. Waiter mumbled something rude under his breath when we didnt order dessert. Hostess seemed miserable. It’s all about the ambiance there.

Rats is a lovely , cozy restaurant with delicious food and they graciously accommodated us even though we arrived 30 mins late due to heavy traffic on Rt 1. My only complaint is that portions are suddenly way too small .

Rats Restaurant at Grounds for Sculpture is magnificent. We dined in a semi-outdoor area that was like a French Cafe. We had a simple lunch, splitting a rotisserie chicken entree salad & the roasted cauliflower. We tried the carrot cake for dessert. It came with house made carrot ice cream & a carrot cake crumble with toasted carrot straws. Amazing! Classic French style service by our server Mary was spot on. Very nice. Definitely worth a visit. We will be heading back soon.
