Le Rathskeller Restaurant propose une ambiance bavaroise dans le centre-ville d'Indianapolis. Installé dans le cœur historique, dans le bâtiment Athenaeum datant du XIXe siècle, le Rathskeller rappelle à la fois une auberge pittoresque nichée dans les collines bavaroises et une brasserie animée de Munich. There are meters all the way around the building that you can pay up to 4 hours with a credit card. There are pay lots to the east and south of the building that charge $5-$10 per car.
Animation
May-October we have live music in our outdoor Biergarten Thursday-Saturday nights. It is 21+ area and does allow smoking. November-April we have live music inside in our ballroom and it is all ages unless otherwise specified. There is no smoking inside. Bands range from local cover bands to national rock and country.

We just German food and this is our go to place when visiting Indy. Love the iconic nature of the building and its history. Service was excellent as always and we so enjoyed our dining experience. Highly recommend

The food was amazing and the service was perfect! Everyone was so kind and the food is as good as you’ll get in Germany, we’ve been told by friends we took who would know!

Nice evening with family. Ordered the shrimp cocktail. I wouldn’t do it again. Waitress forgot it until we got our entrees. The shrimp were small and had no tails so they were harder to eat. The entrees we had, yellowfin tuna and Cajun chicken were done very well. We would order those again. The side salads are small but plenty with the other sides you get. Waitress was average, forgot a few things but the food was good. We will return.

You are going here for the history, the beer garden, and the atmosphere. We went as a family prior to a concert for dinner. Wayyyy overpriced for the frozen food reheated you get. I lived in Germany. I love German food. This was not it. Beer selection, beer garden, all amazing. Just don't eat.
