Zou Zou’s is a lively and modern Eastern Mediterranean restaurant from chef Juliana Latif, who spent years working at some of the most notable restaurants throughout New York City, including The NoMad. The menu is inspired by and celebrating the cuisine and flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean region, bringing in influences from Lebanon, Israel, Turkey, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan, among others.

Zou Zou’s is located within the Manhattan West Plaza, on the ground level of Pendry Manhattan West. If arriving at 33rd Street (between 9th & 10th), follow the walkway to the plaza, turn left, and find the Zou Zou’s entrance on your left.

If arriving at the Ninth Avenue entrance (at 32nd Street), walk through the plaza towards Whole Foods – Zou Zou’s will be on the right side of the plaza just past the NHL Experience Store.

    Somehow when I got there the host said that I had booked a table outside. I knew that I had not but they accommodated me immediately and gave me a great table inside. That part is really a critique of OpenTable and not Zou Zou. Our server was really wonderful and the food amazing. We went for Brunch and the menu is a little limited but the classic flavors are there and the value is great. We started with the dip and the babka. We really could have stopped there. I was stuffed. I got the burger and fries. Best fries ever. One of my friends got the Lobster Cob and loved it.

    El postre, cheesecake delicioso muy bueno, la comida no muy buena para mi gustó personal, el ambiente muy bonito y elegante, la atención muy buena, el vino y los cócteles muy buenos.

    If it's possible, Zou-Zou is even better than when it opened. Excellent inventive cuisine. Outstanding service and attention. Try the octopus carpaccio and don't miss the baby lamb chops with cherries. One of the great meals in Manhattan! My only criticism is that the noise level is deafening. If you think you can have a conversation during dinner - forget it.

    Waited an hour to be sat after our reservation and no one came to the table for 20 minutes even after asking multiple people

    The service here was insanely bad. I’m sad because the menu looked great and I’d love to go back, but I won’t be returning. The host told us to wait by the door and they sat us probably 20 minutes past our reservation. It took our server 15-20 minutes just to get us water, another 20 to bring our drinks, and we waited for our food for over 45 minutes. It just seems poorly managed and understaffed.

    The food here is pretty delicious. There are serious timing and pacing issues. The bar was so backed up that drinks took 40 minutes to arrive. In all fairness, they did comp the late drinks, but appetizers arrived before drinks did. While it was oppressively hot outside, the air conditioner inside was pretty weak. The wait staff was so friendly and apologetic while a manager, female, short hair, was rude, careless, and indifferent. Go for the delicious food, but be warned that it will take a while.

    I visited 5 Mediterranean restaurants on this trip to NYC, and Zou Zou’s was the most expensive, and least appealing. While the space is beautiful, it comes across as gimmicky—and the quality of the food and service greatly disappoints for the price. Dips were flavorless, or too salty, and the freshness and quality of produce and ingredients were lacking. Location was sterile, contemporary midtown mall and it felt like a high-end Mediterranean cheesecake factory with a little more polish. If you want great execution and service for the same type of cuisine; Shuka in SoHo was fantastic.

    We enjoyed the meal. We decided to order all the raw appetizers, plus the special appetizer which was a trumpet mushroom with whipped feta. The Lamb was not as flavorful, but everything else was simply delicious. A true treat for our taste buds!

    Wonderful food. The Rum fueled rice (a side dish) is sooo yummy. Great atmosphere, super friendly service: Thank you, Magdalena! We will come back.
