We wanted to try a new Italian restaurant. The service was great, but the food was not as we expected it to be. We had the lasagna and it was oddly sweet?

We absolutely LOVE Zolo’s and can’t recommend it enough. You’ll dream about this pasta!!! Personally, I suggest having the 5 cheese tortellini with cream sauce and Italian sausage. Truly phenomenal. Their live musician is a great touch!

My first suggestion if you decide to eat at this restaurant, is to rethink your dinner plans. Unless you like Chef Boyardee and Ragu tomato sauce. This was by far probably one of the worst Italian meals I have ever had in my wife. Jake, the server was attentive. I don’t understand how this restaurant gets the reviews that it gets. We had ordered their five cheese tortellini, and their shrimp, alga vodka. Absolutely not sure where they decided that they were putting five cheeses into the five cheese tortellini because the cells were almost empty, bland, and covered in canned tomato sauce. The shrimp of vodka also no flavor whatsoever and clearly using frozen shrimp. For an appetizer, we ordered their cheesy bread for $12, which was the same thing we could get by going to Pizza Hut. Actually Pizza Hut was better. My wife who hates Olive Garden said she would be more than happy to eat Olive Garden instead of this horrible experience of a restaurant. Overpriced mediocre food. Stay Way or go eat anywhere else.!!

I feel like this place overpriced by about $5-$7 per entree. They do NOT need music in a restaurant this small. I got a seizure because of it and had to cut the evening short.

From the time we walked in, we felt welcome and it was such a cozy atmosphere. Simple and welcoming decor with festive checkered tablecloths, a gentleman playing guitar up front, and plenty of staff attending to guests. Not a very big dining room, but it didn't feel overcrowded. It was a mix of families with kids, couples, and what looked like groups of friends enjoying the delicious food and relaxed atmosphere. Our server Jake was amazing! We asked lots of questions and although he had not been working there long he answered very thoroughly, giving us his recommendations, his favorites. Very attentive without being intrusive, he kept our drinks full, asked us how our food was, if we needed anything else. We ordered the fried artichoke for our appetizer and it arrived hot and fresh, crispy on the outside with tinder and flavorful artichoke petals, and a very delicious and creamy pesto dip. I had the chicken parmesan, which had a very large chicken breast plenty of melted cheese on top. I liked the angel hair spaghetti, which was plentiful. I don't like one restaurant to use the regular thick spaghetti! My sister had the tortellini with asiago cream sauce which was out of this world!! We could have just eaten a bowl of the sauce by itself, it was so rich, creamy, buttery, just amazing flavor! The basket of toasted bread was crisp and buttery, although we were not fans of the little butter packets. We much would have preferred a little bowl of butter, not something commercially packaged. Due to some type of an issue with their liquor license, they were not able to sell wine, but they did allow BYOB. Definitely recommended, from the big portions, delicious homemade Italian food, cozy and warm atmosphere, and especially the outstanding service we experienced with Jake!
